- What is the purpose of a one-to-one evaluation?
A one -to-one evaluation is majorly for testing the technical capabilities. It simply implies an activity which requires a range of two to three individuals picked from the audience targeted. This mainly ensures make sure that instructions are not affected by technical issues such as; grammar, spelling, technical errors, and many more.
- Discuss/list the procedures for conducting a one-to-one evaluation?
When conducting a one- to- one evaluation, the following procedures are to be followed. First there has to be two to three learners in this experiment which is in a controled enviroment. The learners should then go through all the instructions at varied locations and later review it with the designer. The learners are required to provide feedback on the instructions while the designers have to take note during the evaluation. The data should then be analyzed t and put it in chart by the designer. This will enhance other team members to view it.
- What is the purpose of a small group evaluation?
Group evaluation is primarily carried out to know how well the learners perform on the instruction. The evaluation involves the testing learners knowledge to see how much they have learned and how effective were the revisions made on one-to-one evaluation.
- Discuss/list the procedures for conducting a small group evaluation.
A number of about eight to twelve learners is to be taken.A brief description on the instruction and how it works is made by the designer. The learners are then left to train themselves and later provided with final assessment to determine how much they have learned. Throughout to the final assessment , the questions asked by the learner should be answered by the designer. Finally, the data about the learners' scores and their responses to each question is collected by the designer.
- List the types of data that will be collected during a small group evaluation.
While conducting small group evaluation ,the following types of data will be collected:
Scores on the pre-test and final assessment.
Time taken to finish the training.
- What is the purpose of a Field Trial?
A field trial is mainly carried out to determine the effectiveness of the instructional materials and if the changes made in the previous phases work effectively .A large sample of the actual product environment is tested to check the possible problem that may occur during the training.
- Discuss/list the procedures for conducting a field trial.
A field trail involves testing several groups at many different sites with each site consisting of learners between seven and ten . This evaluation does not require instructior. The learners and trainers are evaluated by the designer by observing them and taking note of any alarmig concerns that may arise. Through this obsevation designers will be informed if the learners or trainers require instruction manual to help access or administer the training.
- List the types of data that will be collected during a field trial evaluation.
During the field trial evaluation ,the following types of data will be collected:
The way in which the training is administered
The areas that are confusing in the training.
Problems in accessing the training.
- What is the purpose of summative evaluation?
Summative evaluation is primarily done for the purpose of determine the effectiveness of the training liability . This evaluation also helps to know how the training achieves the learning goal.
- Discuss/list the procedures for conducting a summative evaluation.
Summative evaluation is a kind of an unbiased evaluation.
Considering the objectivism approach, instructional designers collect information about the performance of the learner and if its goals are being achieved.
On the other hand , other experts make judgements about the training in the subjectivsm approach.
- List the types of data that will be collected during a summative evaluation.
During summative evaluation, the following data will be collected:
How the training is consistent.
The reliability and effectiveness of the training.
