For the beginning, I would like to say that the advertisement deals with the topic of football and, if we take a closer look at the picture, we can summarize that these people don’t have anything in common but the ball. When the main football event, world championship, starts, this incredible sport unites millions or even billions of people around the world. The competition shows a huge reunion of people in the country, they look like a single unit. Therefore, the advertisement shows that even different people without any similarities can be united in one team of football fans.
On the picture we can see people with different gender, age, or skin color. You don’t need to be an expert or professional player to understand or play this sport. That is why everyone can be in love with football. It is important to mention the meaning of the background of the picture. We can see that each of five people represented has different background color, showing the place of origin. The woman in a dress is seen at night – therefore, nightlife is her style, most probably she likes dancing in clubs. Young men on the second and fifth pictures are presented at the day light – they are of different countries and life styles but we can see that they are playing football on a daily basis, maybe even are members of their own teams. A boy is also shown at the day light, but we can see that he is walking on the street, so football is more a game for him than a lifestyle so far. A cheerful advanced man has probably been a football fan for all his life. The background of his picture tells that he is in some place with a warm climate, where the palm trees grow, maybe at the seashore, having a rest from life.
Nowadays this sport is getting more and more of a bad side – sexism, racism and discrimination. Women get discriminated all the time. A lot of people consider football as a manly sport. They don’t want women take part in it or even watch it. They are totally wrong, since women have the same rights as men do. Women take a big role in modern sport, for example, women football is getting popular every day and this brings an idea that female football association can bring a revolution to this sport. We have teams with women coaches, and know what, these women showed success in coaching. Their teams show perfect results.
Further, it is important to point out that each of the characters is holding a ball of different colors: a woman and a boy have one with red parts; a young man on the second picture – with blue parts; a man in years is holding a ball of yellow and green, and a man on the fifth picture is having a classic one – black and white. Yellow and green colors are the main colors of Brazil, country with the strongest team – the man from the fourth picture is an obvious fan and has been interested in football for all his life. Red in case of the women and boy may mean treating football as a separate part of their life. On the contrary, the man from the second picture holding a ball with blue parts sees football as an integrated part of his life. The last picture with the classic colors shows a medium between the above-mentioned.
Moreover, it is important to note that the man from the second picture is having “86” on his T-shirt – it’s a year, 1986 when the World Championship was won by Argentina. Having a closer look, we can see a paradigm: the woman may be Italian ( Italia won the World Championship 1982), the young man from Argentina, the boy from Germany (victory in 1990), the man in years from Brazil (their team won in 1994) and the young man from the last picture in from France that won the championship in 1998. Therefore, we see five representatives of the countries winners of the World Championship.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, if you try you will be able to do the same, just need little bit of dedication. Small kid at his age has excellent control of the ball. As we can see, even people who can’t move a lot, are pleased to stop and impress people nearby, their reactions and smiles makes you happy.
As a conclusion, I would like to say that simple picture without words can have a lot of symbols in it. It is up to a person to decode all the meanings and interpret the signs. Some of the meanings are obvious and understandable; others require more attention and knowledge. However, everyone can definitely tell that football is a game of nations around the world.
