Obesity has become one of the major health issues in the United States of America. This argumentative paper discusses ‘What You Eat Is Your Business” by Radley Balko which is basically a study about the initials taken for declining obesity for public health by the federal government and the responsibility of an individual that should be understood and resulted in a good initial by its own effort.
The article highlights the obesity initials taken by the government as its responsibility on a vast level to make improvements in the obesity rates.Radley Balko states that the individual’s responsibility towards its own health and form is fundamental aspect to lead a healthy life. The individuals should not be relying on the government to initiate steps for their health. I say that this condition (obesity) does not just have serious health risks, but also that it will increase the cost of medical care. So we should be rising to co-operate with our government to makeour nation and its diet healthy.
Just because most measures of obesity control haven’t changed for about a decade at least, there’s an increased obesity rate in adults, whereas we see that the initiatives for children resulted in their obesity rate falling the past decade. I say that kid’s obesity could become more efficiently widespread by making the school food improved all over the country with strict rules made and the tax should be applied on high calorie foods. We don’t have to ignore all age people and just focus on kids of 2-5year age group, everybody should be considered for health issues with complete equality. As it is ensured that by the initiatives of government there is a progress in kid’s obesity rates by implementing healthy food habit in their daily routine. This way we can take initiatives for all public health and make the difference in their obesity rate.
Conclusion:
So, the bottom line is that we have to make trends in falling obesity rates all over publicly instead of focusing any one age group, gender, race or individual. People on a larger ground, should be more aware of the health risks regarding obesity. There is no harm in taking the health care issues towards socialism and using different mediums to reach out people to help fight against obesity.
