The generosity individual is seen in his behavior.
Analysis on Organizational structure
The systems of an organization influence behavior pervasively. Organizational structural design is determined by size, environment, technology and strategy. The mechanical system has high specialization and formwork systems. This reflects to strict adherence and tight control measures to the command chains. This makes the organization’s behavior parameters to reduce up leaving little room for variation (Hrebiniak, 2013). In the organic structure, there are limited specialization and low formalization. This results in a wide span of control to the employee. They have considerable flexibility results to multiple behaviors.
Analysis of organizational culture
Culture defines the standard in a person in the community that arises from a consideration of what is regarded as excellent in arts. The culture holds the organization together by providing standards that are suitable for what is to be said or done by the employee. The spoken and understood view of a company is seen through the behaviors of the employees. Strong organizational culture reveals the expectations of the employees in terms of behavior and conduct. Weak organizational culture reveals poor behavior and effort that is unethical and has indirection of flow. New members of a group simply internalize the norms, values, practices and customs through socialization. This influences the behavior of the employee.
Analysis of power and politics
Power is the ability to transform and affect another person in any way. The process affects the thoughts, behaviors and feelings of another person. The line in attempts to affect a person can be sensible and is acted on without a great deal of thought. This section is important to managers in creating the indifference. Organizational powers can be interpersonal. These powers are coercive, reward, experienced and sensible. The most effective control is excellent power. It reveals strong correlation, transfers necessary skills within the company and employee internalizes what they say or learn from the manager. Organizations own potential as the ability to cope with others (Hrebiniak 2013). Power also brings a high degree of certainty and provides no substitutability.
Politics is the use of gaining a governance position in the group or community. Organizational politics is characterized by power and authority. The power that is not officially sanctioned by the company which influences others in order to meet personal goals is referred to as political behavior. The conditions that promote political activities include unclear goals, uncertainty, ambiguous lines of authority, autocratic decision making and scarce resources. The use of effective tactics plays a huge role in influencing others. The tactics take the form of cerebral power that entails logic arguments and facts. The use of ingratiation to give a person good mood and debate to involve active participation is repeated tactics. Emotional proposal creates an impact by appealing to the inspirations. The ability to get things done by networking, sincerity, social astuteness and interpersonality are used as political skills.
Political behavior can be managed by maintaining open communication. The intention of clarifying performance expectations helps to achieve this behavior. Participate in management and encouraging them to assist in working among groups reduces the chances of this behavior to flourish (Hrebiniak, 2013). It’s also important to provide supportive organizational climate. Power can transform an organization positively when used correctly or negatively when misused.
Behavior in molded to any form depending on the environmental, social and physical level that a person constantly associates. Though some behaviors are hereditary, as one grows and yield to maturity it is affected by the surrounding. What affects the brain impacts greatly to changes adopted by the body which in turn is reflected in the environment? The human mind is susceptible to adapt to anything in the community that it finds receptive. The receptiveness of the mind which is reflected in the body becomes a behavior.
