Li Keqiang
Introduction
Before one of the members of the politburo committee will be focused on, it is very vital that a brief explanation be given about this committee itself and how it has been able to gain some forms of public recognition. This is a committee which comprises of the top leaders in China. It is a party specially reserved for communists and has minimum membership of 5 persons and maximum number of 9 persons. These are all elite and are individuals who have been renowned form of national struggle or the other.
However, it is very important to point out that the current committee consists of 7 individuals. These individuals were listed on the 15th of November 2012. This community has grown so influential in recent times that it has become the face of China leadership and politics. This is because its members are wielding such a great amount of influence that they decide lots of issues relating to Chinese politics.
The major aim of this write up will be to look at the biography one of the members of this committee. The member whose biography will be looked at is Li Keqiang. Li keqiang is the current prime minister of the China. He is very successful in his career. This biography will focus on Li Keqiang’s life.
Li Keqiang
He happens to be the youngest amongst the seven members installed in 2012. He was born in the year 1955. He currently holds the position of premier council of state of the PRC (People’s Republic of China). He is a successful holder of prime minister Position and brought different changes in the China. He is still holding the position of Prime Minister.
Li Kenqiang came to the spotlight from a rural area of the China. He was not from a very rich or repeated family. He was born in 1955 in the Anhui provenance. His father has worked as a local official. His father wanted him to join in the local party leadership, but he was more interested in studying. He studied law in one of the Beijing’s prestigious Universities named Peaking University.
He is being interested in politics during the time of his study. He has joined in the student politics on that time. He was successful in his political career and seen rapid success on it. He is being the chief of student federation of his university in a very short period of time. He started to work for improving himself to be an efficient party leader after completing his study. He is a highly educated politician. He holds PhD degree in economics and very fluent in few other areas too. (Jacobs, 2012)
His educational track (background)
Li happens to be a graduate of the Hefie senior high school from where he went for labour. His identification and relationship with this communist party can be said to have started from this point. This was where he was made to be the head of the local production team.
Although Li’s father wanted to him to be groomed in leadership where he would know the fundamentals of leadership, his heart was set on studying law. He finally had his way to study law where he became renowned for using combining the ideas of senior British judges and also that of advocates. He is known as the first leader amongst others to hold PhD. degrees in the field of law and economics respectively in federal government. One area where Li’s educational background tends to overshadow that of the rest of his colleagues in the committee is that he is known as that man who has a very good command of the English Language. Prior career of Li Keqiang
Li is widely known to be a man of great intellect and reforms. Back then as a law student, he was able to play some prominent part in his school in later periods of 1970. As of this time, he was actively into student politics. This was during the period of cultural heritage. As of then, the talk of democracy and freedom of speech has just started to gain grounds. He started his journey into advanced politics back then when he was the leader of the communist youth league. (Brookings, 2016). His political career was able to rise from being a labourer in communal settings to chief of provincial party and now finally to the position of a prime minister of the people’s republic of china.
His mentors
He is like every other person out there. Li had mentors who had greatly contributed in helping him to sustain his passion and hunger for success in his political endeavour. Among his mentors, the most striking noticeable is the Hu Jintao, whom he tends to share the same ideology and philosophy. (Hays, 2016). Back then when Hu was the head of the central military commission, it was claimed that he was very determined to have Li installed as the vice chairman of the body so as to allow him still have some influence after retirement. Although this never worked out eventually, it cannot wipe traces of Li and Hu relationship. It was even Li himself, who publicly declared that he had always looked up to Hu due to his general philosophy about life. Although Li had some other mentors, his relationship with Hu was so obvious that even the public began seeking him as a replica of Hu.
Leadership
Li is one of the successful leaders of the China. The peoples of China started to consider him as the replica of one of the greatest leaders of China because of his effort to bring China in a new position. Li is considered to be a friendly politician. He is very good at economics and it was a great sign for china. His high skilled understanding of economic reforms was most needed by the China to achieve the needs of China to move forward. His leadership styles also had some sides that made him suffer from problems. He has suffered from being the image of a passive leader. (Brown, 2016). He is considered to be more cautious compare to Xi Jinping. He also have different styles of leadership and thinking compare to Xi Jinping that introduced many changes. He is considered to be very confident in his leadership. He came to the position by doing hard work in different areas that made him more promising in his position. (BBCNEWS, 2013).
Conclusion
The biography has discussed about the life of Li Keqiang. It has discussed about different wave that formed in the life of Li Keqiang to be the prime minister of the China. The biography found himself as a hardworking and well educated prime minister with having the ability of leading China to a bright future and discover many new opportunities for the China. He is an educated leader with having the knowledge on areas on which China needs more attention in order to move forward to achieve the success.
