In today’s fashion world, the haute couture fashion shows fulfill their legacies of extravagance and theatricality. The concept of beauty has been transforming through fashion over years that reveals the fact that fashion has been related to the individuals’ personal satisfaction. Every style, every dress, and every trend havebeen acceptedby different public sectors regarding it beautiful in its own way. It has been presented in the haute couture fashion shows of various modern designers that reflect extravagance and theatricality in the collaborative form of their self-expression and self-creation.
In the case of Chanel’s haute couture fashion show, Lagerfeld has selected the most quintessential setting of Parisian. The setting was intentionally named as ‘Brasserie Gabrielle’ with many waiters serving coffee and croissants to the guests. The dress worn by the waiters resembled the traditional old aprons of French that were skirts wrapped around their bodies and tied by attached tapes. The dress was designed to serve the ease of walking and sitting as the skirt does not get dowdy. The designers involved in haute couture fashion shows regard the concepts of extravagance and theatricality as the potentially fantastic and memorable elements reflecting the degree of conviction, skill, and sincerity. For instance, Chanel also presented an extravagant theme of gardeners in summer 2015 with waterless cans and hats of straw version. Chanel has been exceptional in creating multi-colored boucle epaulettes.

Likewise, Christine Dior has been employing uniqueness in his designs, like using transparent plastic coats with designs on short dresses in the opening of the haute couture. Besides, this summer collection 2015 also combined ballerina dresses having cutaway tops, minidresses with sequined collars and sleeves, Perspex heels, and the latex legging boots adding to the soundtrack.

Another example is of Balenciaga’s haute couture for Fall 2015 that presented real level of today’s fashion. The dresses represent the combination of white, black, and beige colors along with the cocoon coats that are sprayed with ink-jet printing machines and using the buttons of different sizes. Balenciaga has recognized the demands of modern fashion where fabric has been replaced by fur with time. Therefore, the set designs and the trends and styles of the dresses of the modern haute couture reflect an incredible sense of extravagance and theatricality these days.
