Evaluation of Corporate Ethics Policy
1). The key attributes of the policy of Facebook, Inc., are the conflict of interest, communication, public disclosure, financial responsibility and integrity, confidential information, Protection of the user data, protection and the use of the company’s data, compliance with the laws, and reporting violations. The ideals and the key values that the company trying to accomplish is are resolution of the conflict of the interest by abstaining and disclosing, maintaining proper communication, and complying with the laws so that the problems can be solved in an effective way and in timely manner.
2). The policy has effectively tried in an effective way to foster a culture of the ethics in the workplace. Considering the example of the Facebook incorporation’s policy, where it is emphasized to comply with the laws, keep the information confidential, to consider the financial responsibility as well as the integrity, and report the violation so that ethics can be maintained in the workplace. Hence, the policy has gone far in an attempt to foster
3). The policy of Facebook Incorporation has not described the method of company’s planning for enforcing their code of ethics. Being an employee, I assume that the company plans to enforce the code of ethics by keeping the users as well as employees into consideration. The company considers that the rights of employees remain protected, and the employee should comply with the rules and regulations set in the code of conduct. Further, if I do not comply with the set rules and regulations, then it is possible that I may develop negative attitude for all the jobs.
4). Being the part of management, I would suggest fair treatment with the employees, and responsible employee. Fair treatment with the employees should be promoted, such as they should be given more pay if they work over time, and it should be mentioned that the employer will also perform its responsibilities in an effective manner, and would not be dishonest with the employees in all the matters.
