According to recent research, it is evident that the allocation of the gas lift is among the nonlinear programming challenges. In other words, it implies that the adjustment of the compressor pressure and the optimum gas injection standards or rate maximizes the objective functions and oil rate. It stands outs as a major ethical problem in that it outlines the nonlinear programming measures taken on daily basis aiming a maximization of the cash flow for the entire gas-lifted wells. The process required well study or calculated strategy to be set in place in order to curb the uncertainty for the price or rates of oil. The approach would assist in identifying the ethical problem. Simulation production software needs to be incorporated to get a lasting solution for each well. There is the need for the concern parties to develop a nonlinear optimization aiming at the performance of the gas lift of all the wells to solve the ethical issue. The functions would be essential in the development of the models under the emerging constraint, pressure and capacity required for the production cash flow from the wells (Khishvand & Khamehchi, 2012).
The Gas lift allocation poses an ethical problem due to the fact that it goes against the stipulated principle on ways to minimize the cash flow of the well’s production. The gas lift allocation strategies required the trained personnel to take a precautionary measure or detailed analysis of the proper nonlinear optimization recommended. Lack of adequate research and knowledge on the appropriate approach of gas lift allocation led to the emergence of an ethical problem. The production team needs the awareness of the risk and optimization is attributed to the allocation of the gas lifts. The moral problem associated with the nonlinear is as a result of minimal or less utilization of the available functions to establish basic models.
Based on Khishvand and Khamehchi (2012) argument, the ethical problem of the gas lift allocation requires a transparent approach to solving it. It is fundamental to consider that the reservoirs pressure should be maintained at a constant level to facilitate a decrease in the production rates. The gas lift allocation issues demand an enhancement of the method of oil recovery. It increases the rates of oil recovery and factors of reservoir recovery. Risk optimization is considered the ultimate technique used to obtain the proper solution for the emerging ethical problems in the engineering industry. In the case of gas lift allocation, the application of the optimization and simulation of the uncertain factors and optimize model has led to the realization of an optimum value in the issue
A recent study shows the relation between the oil production and the rates of gas injection. The concept of the two elements has led to the development of a procedure that prompted the establishment of computer software. The software has solved the gas lift performance through the curves that show how to set a sequence of the polynomial. In conclusion, it is advisable to identify the major causes of the gas lift problems. The next step should be setting necessary measures that would eliminate or reduces the occurrence of the problem. In addition, the concern people should create a conducive environment for innovation to curb the ethical problem. The solution to any problem within a given process is determined by the procedure used to identify the major issue.
