Providing healthcare to the aged requires two times as much as that of younger persons. Less than half of the elderly have any insurance cover. This has also been made difficult by the rise in the cost of medical care. The aged are different from other age groups and, therefore, require special consideration. In support of the aged on this stress, medical insurance cover benefits have been increased for the elderly. This will help meet the increasing medical needs of the older persons.
Many find it difficult to put the concepts they preach into practice in their own lives. As a helping professional, as much as I provide empathy to my client, I would find ways to receive things back. Seeking support and talking about stress with colleagues. Engaging in self-care practices to improve wellness. Taking a day off and paying attention to physical and mental symptoms of stress.
I had a problem with socialization in campus. I felt unworthy, and I constantly searched for reassurance. I was so depressed and felt the lack of self-esteem, became I was so sensitive to the opinion of others and less physically active. During athletics, I did not want to participate. I was afraid of poor performance, and this made me drop from sporting.
Some of the interventions I used to manage the stress by regular exercises, healthy eating, getting enough sleep, learning to think clearly and by setting realistic, achievable goals.
