My name is Eno Akpan and I am a Nigerian. I am currently taking nursing classes at Clarkston campus. I endeavor to be a nurse practitioner in future.
My interests outside schoolwork entail dancing, singing, modeling, and reading. My objective is to complete this course at the end of the semester and perform well in class.
I intend to pursue Psychology as my major and a career choice. I have heard a short stint with the course in the past and I got interested in the subject. I am interested in finding out the development of human mind in comparison non-humans. I relish the application of pure mathematics and I know this will enable me learn psychology. Prior to this course I have tackled religious and ethics and am certain this will steer me in learning psychological research. I have logical ability to interpret data in different situation. Since I completed my A levels I have engaged with the children with learning disabilities to demonstrate the skills learnt to handle children with the special needs. I have in a position to assist teenage children with life skills in a home situation.
I decided to pursue Psychology as a major since I have interest in analyzing people’s behavior. I would like to gain more knowledge to comprehend people’s mind and development. The course of Psychology will enable me achieve this goal.
I have worked in a local health care as a part-time Nurse practitioner and this has taught me a lot the patients’ psychology. Working in the healthcare permits me to look at the patients’ behavior in an analytical way to administer the treatment.
I am fascinated by the behavior of people in the society and am sure this study coupled with different theories will further my knowledge on Psychology and I will be in a position to understand people better.
