Dear Person Receiving Letter, It is with great pleasure that I accept the offer of a position with your facility. I believe in the goals you seek to accomplish, and the ways in which you seek to accomplish them. I feel that working with your organization will allow me to grow personally and professionally, and that I will be a valuable addition to your staff. I am honored that my resume was selected to fill the opening, and will strive to perform in excess of your expectations.
In reviewing the offer of the position, I have come to understand both the duties required of me and the compensation available. I will be working within the neonatal intrinsic care unit of your hospital, as a respiratory therapist. I expect a great deal of hands-on patient care, and working directly with the patients at the hospital. I will be responsible for plans of care, and following patients through their treatments. In exchange, I will be compensated $55,600 a year. I am able to begin worker, per our discussion, on November 1, and will be working variable shifts, depending on necessity. I am comfortable with all the terms discussed, and the compensation offered.
Again, I would like to thank you for selecting me for this position. Your facility’s ethos compliments mine well, and I believe I will thrive in the environment you provide. More, however, I believe I will provide excellent patient care, and a professional, approachable demeanor. I look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,Client9876 BroadwayAnytown, USA99999
Dear Person Receiving Letter, It is with regret that I inform you that I am unable to accept the position which you have offered me. While I appreciate being extended this opportunity, at this time, it is not a direction in which I am able to proceed. I am honored to have been selected to fill the vacancy at your facility, but am unable to proceed with the hiring process.
While, again, I admired your facility and staff, there are several reasons I am unable to accept the position. I require a fixed schedule, and your position was of flexible, per diem hours. I am unable to commit to being on-call, and need a position where I am able to rely on consistency in my scheduling. In addition, I am seeking a salaried position, which has a reliable income. This position’s hourly rate makes it difficult, especially coupled with the per diem status, to anticipate a steady income. I believe this position will be ideally suited to another candidate, as stated, because it combines a flexibility of scheduling, and hourly pay. Both factors are appealing to most applicants, but in this case do not meet my current needs.
I wish to thank you for the opportunity to interview with you, and to interact with your staff and facility. I appreciate the time you took in interviewing and meeting with me, and the attention given to me during the application process. I am honored by the offer of the job, and do regret my inability to accept it.
Sincerely,Client9876 BroadwayAnytown, USA99999
