IT planning
Ideally, business or IT planning needs to go beyond the mere inclusion of expenditures in the annual budgeting process. An organization needs to establish a comprehensive plan that evaluates present requirements and accurately forecasts potential spending over a particular timeframe. Essentially, the first planning method that I will use my business strategies is the SWOT analysis. Furthermore, I will use goal setting at the departmental level.
Specifically, the swot analysis entails an extensive study of an organization to establish its strengths, weakness, opportunities, and threats. A SWOT analysis is important because it plays a crucial role in the allocation of resources in a way that will lead to the highest possible potential for revenue generation. On the other hand, goal setting involves identifying particular activities that need to be accomplished and establishing measurable goals and timeframes. I will use this approach because it will enable me to focus my acquisition of knowledge and help me organize my resources and time to increase business revenues.
Reliability: The hardware must be reliable for a computer it to accomplish the desired tasks
Software: A computer can be useless without the right software
Scalability: The hardware must be able to justify the cost by handling the day to day processing demands for various transactions and users.
Ideally, the appropriate user training could take the form of an official training where an employee is registered in a technical course where they are trained the basic aspects of the software in question. Furthermore, the new employee can be asked to work under a senior employee who is conversant with using the software in question. Specifically, the employee can have a particular training time per day or week, or they can accompany the senior employee during their daily assignments that involve the use of the software.
