Teamwork is a very important aspect to building up strong connections with people. I have been in many groups myself, and it is very important to realize that there is a difference between one being an actual group in a project, and a team. A pastor of mine once made this distinction, and I completely agree. When it comes to a team projects and being an effective leader, a group gets by simply doing the minimum of whatever can be done, but a team goes above and beyond, and a leader helps pave this path as well. I myself have experienced good teams and bad teams. Some of my experiences were not pleasant, but everything is a learning experience. As for the list that I looked at, I definitely agree on both sides that show what makes an effective team leader and what does not. For example; the list shows have makes an ineffective team leader, and one of the examples it gives is someone who is loud and opinionated. Sadly, I have experienced this myself in some team. Particularly, there was one team I was in where someone was so loud and obnoxiously opinionated, that I not only had to tell them to take a breather, by I had to tell my professor about the incident as well. As for the positive side of being an effective team leader, one bullet point that stood out for me is when it says that effective leaders have an open discussion on the kind of data that should be gathered, and evidence, logic, and decision making are brought to the table. In closing, there is much more to both sides of the list in regards to what makes an effective team leader, but my past experience has made me able to relate much easier than if I had not experience the ups and downs of teamwork and being an effective team leader.
