Data presented on the Kids Count Data Center for the State of Maryland reports that there were 17,900 incidences of in school suspensions in the 2011/2012 school year. Aside from this, the report highlights a further 48,300 incidences of out of school suspensions in the same State in the same school year. These data represent 2% and 8% of the cumulative number of both in school and out of school suspensions reported in all States respectively. The above report evidently portrays a need for conflict resolution strategies to be implemented State-wide. This can be achieved through the aid of support organizations as they can lend out funds necessary to carry out the implementation of conflict resolution strategies.

According to the New York Statistics, the economic well-being of its residents is daunting. The report indicates that 4% of children in the city live in poverty. This is because their parents lack stable jobs. This greatly affects their ability to solicit for work as they are undereducated. A ray of hope is shone only in the health sector as the report indicates that only 7.9% of babies in the city are born with low birth weight.

Data presented on the Kids Count Data Center for the State of Mississippi indicates a worsening trend in poverty amongst families. In 2008, the report indicated that 34% of children in the State lead impoverished lifestyles while 35-39% of children had parents who lacked secure employment. Teens not in school were reported at 12% while the number of children not attending preschool rose from 50% to 52%. It is therefore recommended that the government looks into these statistics. This is in order to find ways to allocate funds to improve opportunities for parents. Enabled parents will enable their children grow into successful, productive adults.
