Introduction
Day care also called child care refers to taking care of a kid during day time by other people other than the real parents or guardians of the child. In most cases, the parents or children are usually busy with their activities such as business, jobs or any other activities that keep them busy. There are different reasons that lead to the setting up of a day care business. First, daycare allows time for parents and guardians to attend to their personal activities effectively and efficiently. This allowance reduces the anxiety that could arise as a result of this. Second, the business leads to the generation of income by the proprietors and their immediate partners. Also, the business allows for a better growth and development of the children as they can develop skills in a better relationship with others. This development of competencies is due to the existence of children from different backgrounds at the same place (BizPlanDB, 2014).

The location of the company is ideal specifically for those people who reside in Brooklyn and work in the New York City. It was at the central point where a lot of people can quickly access. The business is in the Daycare industry. The industry serves those parents and guardians who have less time with their kids. The industry has now spread throughout the whole world, and people are receiving it wholly. They are accepting the entire concept of vigor and energy, and that is why we have decided to start it in Brooklyn. Our child care center will deal with children between 2 and five years in terms of child care and education services (Jack, 2005).

We offer direction and support in terms of social, intellectual and emotional development of the children. We also nurture a high-quality environment for child caring (Lynn, 2010).

The business is a registered private company. It has two directors. It has employed a managing director who has the necessary qualifications for managing this enterprise. The managing director is getting assistance from others educators who help the children within their respective ranges (Musial, 2007).
Business Objectives
There are various objectives and goals that this business shall strive to fulfill. The goals and objectives are providing high-quality expansion and development opportunities to the educators so that they help the children in more professional ways. Second, Safe Daycare seeks to foster collaborative partnerships with all other local, state, and national organizations that deal with childcare programs. The facilities include one building having three floors. Each of the floors is spacious enough to accommodate a good number of people. There are also others spaces that can be in use for administration purposes and other services such as kitchen departments. We have plans for increasing the facilities the moment the number of the children starts growing (V.T, 2014).
SWOT Analysis
SWOT analysis refers to the planning method that evaluates strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The table for the SWOT analysis is as follows .
Market Segments & Competitive Analysis
In terms of market segments and competitive analysis, Safe Daycare focuses on meeting the needs of child care services within a 10-mile radius of Brooklyn. The enterprise will take the children on full-time or part-time basis. Full-time basis is for working couples. The company wants to have large full-time clients on a full-time basis. This way, there will be the establishment of a consistent revenue base for the stability of the business. Good customer relations shall lead to a better relationship with the parents. Part-time workers and drop-ins have a 20% contribution to revenue. It is however not the primary focus though the company should handle it sufficiently.
The target market for Safe Daycare is full-time working people who are mostly working. The key type of marketing strategy employed is the referral marketing. There should be enhancement and maintenance of the company’s reputation that will help it gain a lot of customers. The inflation rate is increasing every year. Families are, therefore, relying on two incomes for their survival. This reliance leads to rising demand for the daycare services. We have the intention of capturing this market. In terms of competition, there are a large number of daycare service providers within Brooklyn. Safe Daycare intends to differ with the competitors in a way that enhances its competition. These ways have a lower staff: child ratio that ensures more efficient and close relationships with the children and the staff. Also, we intend to introduce a service where we drop the children to their respective homes at no charge. This service shall enhance the competition thus making us stand out as the best of all (BizPlanDB, 2014).
Market Research
Depending on market research, we intend to find out whether there is enough demand for day child care in Brooklyn or not. The possible competitors are day nurseries, local authority nurseries, child-minders, nannies, primary schools offering nursery education and other day care centers. For the present day care providers, we will look for their opening and closing hours, the fees they charge, the meals they provide, the facilities they offer, and other possible areas of weaknesses. After the research, we can now analyze and know which areas to improve on. Studies have shown that as the majority of parents join the workforce, there shall be increasing demand for daycare services (Jack, 2005).
Target Market & Communications
Our target market is the couples and guardians who are in full-time employment. They mostly reside in Brooklyn, and that is why we decided to have our business there. There need to be ways for effective communication to parents and guardians at a day care facility such as this one. We intend to use forms such as issue of handbooks to both parents and staff. It has been confirmed to be the best way. The manual shall contain the vision, mission, philosophy, and how to procedures at the day care. It will also have the programs and the rates charged by the center. In addition, we will use electronic communication such as e-mail, social media, and advertisement through print and broadcast media among others. We will also organize meetings with the parents through which we will address them various issues (Musial, 2007).
In conclusion, if there is an implementation of the above plan accordingly, Safe Daycare shall be a force to reckon with as it will provide stiff competition for other players in the field. There should be need for proper coordination so that the business realize the fruits and the business flourishes.
