The Nguyen family, coming from an immigrant status, is noted to be experiencing particular hardships in life especially in terms of dealing with financial woes that is brought to the family by the fact that they are living within an immigrant state of recognition. The same problem affects the learning process of the young ones. It could be noticed that somehow with such identity, it has become harder for the family to avoid social stratification, especially in terms of defining the way that they are to be recognized by the people surrounding them(CDF, 2014). While there are different issues that are still to be considered in relation to this, the main matter that affects the being of the individuals in the family is the connection that they are trying to establish to people surrounding them. The frustration of being accepted becomes a common source of tension. And there are instances when such situation affects the overall relationship that the family members have towards each other.
Practically, the need to gain support from the government is necessary; however, getting such attention may not be that easy to accomplish especially considering their status in the community. Nguyen family needs all the support they need and the children themselves ought to receive attention from local education-providers in support for the possibility of improving their life-status especially in relation to how they are to fare better in a life as an immigrant in the country (Zero to Three, 2014). Social and psychological support should also be available for families like that of the Nguyen’s; such support would give them a better vision of what possibilities are open for them to take and how well they are going to embrace it to change their situation; thus experiencing a much satisfying life (CCW, 2014).
