Writing can’t ever be transparent for the simple fact that it gives people a chance to acknowledge where their strengths and weaknesses lie in writing whether it’s technical writing or just non-technical writing. The concept of non-transparent writing can’t really exist because writing can never be transparent or non-transparent enough to the point where people are choosing to not do it because it’s too hard to be a writer. Another reason why writing can’t be transparent is because there are some people who use writing to do the things they love like making an honest living, writing children’s books for children to treasure and pass on to their children when that time comes, write content for a professional website on the internet which is one of the biggest ways to break into freelance writing. Writing can’t be transparent on a whole because there’s too much dependence on a person using writing as their voice.
The goal of all writers should be to write clear, transparent, logical and noteworthy pieces because of the contribution that the writers are contributing to the world. For example, a writer who can write about every historical event from the present day back to the 17th century, that’s their contribution to the world which is important because most people are usually trying to misconstrue the logical truth when it comes to history and everything that it’s all about. Every writer’s goal should be to write transparent literary works of art because in my opinion, that’s their way of leaving their mark on the world which they should because a writer has no greater love than for his work.
Miller suggested that we take another general approach to divide the disciplines between rhetorical writing and scientific writing. Personally, it’s highly recommended that Miller & Co do too because the last thing they want to do is to mix 2 things that don’t belong or don’t make sense together. There’s a difference between rhetorical writing and scientific writing, when a person writes rhetorically, a lot of what they’re writing is just in theory only; none of it can be made into real facts. Scientific writing is all about science, from what Miller is saying; these two completely different phrases have different functions and different purposes.
When I write, I strive for constant perfection because to me, writing has given me a chance to really look inside myself and see the kind of writer that I can be hence the perfectionism. Another thing I do while striving for perfection in my writing is proofread and I make sure that proofreading and editing is something I do after I write because I’m a person who doesn’t like mistakes when I write. When I write something whether it’s a paper or on a website, I always strive for perfection when I do transparent writing because I want everything I write to read clearly and precisely as I mean it. Sometimes, this causes me to make a mistake or two because I’m too focused on not making a mistake when I write and that can really mess me up as it has.
It can also be said that I strive for completeness when I write because it causes me to have this great sense of calm that can’t really be attained through other things. Overall, I strive for perfection and clearness when I write because to me it’s like I owe it to the person reading my submission to have a grammar mistake free paper. Striving for positive feedback on my submission has become another of my goals, and I say that because it’s that positive feedback that’s going to get me a lot of positive reads from people who’ve never even heard of me and my writing. This is also good in the aspect that people will learn from my example of writing with no grammar mistakes or spelling errors.
