Dear Mr. Bower
We are in receipt of your letter of April 15, 2014, and your concern has been duly noted. However, your request for a refund of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for the equipment that you bought from this store cannot be granted. A review of the company’s policy at this time to facilitate your request would be impossible. When a customer makes a purchase the terms of agreement in the document are read and discussed and upon agreement, is signed. As soon as we received your letter a technician was sent to examine the broken equipment and we found that the damage did not happen because of any fault of ours. It would therefore cost the company at this time to consider an exemption in your case.
We have in our possession a copy of the warranty document that you signed when you bought the product. The warranty date on the product has expired. I will remind you of the points that were outlined and would be happy to provide you with a copy of the document so you can further read the explanations given.

Please note the expiration date of the warranty and also the stipulations that were outlined under each heading. It would be highly impossible if we were to grant an exemption to you. We sincerely hope that you will understand our position at this time.
I am offering you a suggestion in the good interest of the reputation of our company and our commitment to our valued clients. Our Technician has offered to repair the damage to the equipment and we have decided to do so at no additional cost to you. If you agree please let us know as soon as possible so we can begin the repairs.
Let me once again apologize on behalf of the company and its management and we hope to continue the good relations that we share with our customers over the years.
