Dear Mesdames/Gentlemen,
I am writing to you in order to present my initiatives for Better Horizons Credit Union members and clients. These ideas are to promote our organization, gain more loyalty and create a positive and sustainable authority.
The first initiative is to organize a promotional trip for credit union members. The actual plan is to handle a cruise trip to The Bahamas. The main aim is to promote Better Horizons, create a positive image among credit union members and encourage them to think over credit union programs or projects.
The trip is to be held even in the middle of May. Even though it is a working time, this period is not as stressful as the end of month (when all the organizations create reports and revise accounts). Additionally, spring is the time of progressive work, which means that most of credit union members will not be on vacation.
The main business partner is the travel agency ‘Sunshine FL’, which will coordinate all the aspects, connected to the cruise trip, which are the cruise liner, accommodation and entertainment. ‘Sunshine FL’ is a reliable partner, as it has already cooperated with Better Horizons twice (in 2014 and 2015). Besides, Better Horizons has a list of official agreements with this travel agency, which gives us an opportunity to lower the price. Moreover, due to this fact, our company can provide twenty-five percent off each voucher from its budget (this sum will only be a fourth part of our annual budget for promotional programs), which will definitely create a positive image among our credit union members.
Except for a good rest, our credit union members will get more information about key financial issues, which are retirements planning, trusts and estates, insurance, charitable giving, taxes and college savings. This will not only make our clients more financially intelligent; it will give us an opportunity to present new projects and solutions the way we want, before the information will be displayed by mass-media.
The second initiative is a new reward program for Better Horizons members who use credit or debit cards. This program offers to create a virtual account for storing total reward points, which are contributed to the member in exchange for paying with Credit or Debit cards. This project is to promote Better Horizons as a credit union, which is loyal to its members and encourage credit union members to use their cards.
The variety of rewards is a huge amount of versatile products and services, which are brand-name merchandise, travel offerings such as airline tickets and hotel accommodation etc. These things are applicable to people with different levels of income, which makes the reward desirable for everyone.
The points on the virtual account are to be contributed in the ratio of 1 dollar spent = 1 reward point for credit cards and 2 dollars spent = 1 reward point for debit cards. This ratio makes credit cards more ‘appreciated’, as nowadays there exists an inequality of different cards in use. Elimination of such an inequality is one of credit unions main interests. Taking into account that the offered rewards are quite valuable, the level of points, required to get the reward, can be quite high. In order to make the reward more likely to be achieved, there exists an opportunity to transfer points from account to account.
The reward program as well as a financial planning cruise serve the interests of credit union as well as the interests of its members. On the one hand, it will make credit union members more loyal towards their credit union. On the other hand, it will create a positive image of Better Horizons Credit, promote it and attract more members.
Sincerely,
Christine Russo

I am writing to you in order to offer an opportunity to take part in a financial planning trip organized by Better Horizons Credit Union for its members. Our company is pleased to give all the details about the existing opportunity for you and your family to join a cruise trip to the Bahamas.
The trip is planned to take five days. Four of them are to be spent on a new and prestigious cruise liner ‘Hope’ of the well-known travel company ‘Sunshine FL’. This company is a reliable one, as Better Horizons has already used its services twice (in 2014 and 2015). The conditions of high class; all required infrastructure is working properly. The last day of the cruise is a ‘Bahama journey’, a full-day excursion on the island.
During the trip, credit union members will be able to rest, entertain and work. Two days of four spent on the cruise liner, will be ‘workshop evenings’, as at these days (the second and the fourth ones) credit union members will discuss existing issues, find solutions and offer new initiatives. Such a workshop in the conditions of cruise will help credit union members overthink the old questions and find a new view on it. Even such well-discussed topics as retirements planning, trusts and estates, insurance, charitable giving, taxes and college savings will be discussed in a new way, describing all of their advantages and disadvantages in an unordinary manner.
As the credit union members are to enjoy the cruise with their families, a finance boot camp for teenagers will provide basic information about savings and checking accounts, loans and budgeting. Additionally, children, as well as their parents, will not be bored during a four-day sea cruise due to a huge range of entertainment activities. Travel company ‘Sunshine FL’ also organizes entertainment, which includes sea fishing, swimming in the open sea and diving at day time, movie watching, Bahamas traditional parties and ‘financial quest’. The ‘Bahamas day’ offer an excursion to natural habitat of Bahamas endemic forms of flora and fauna, visit tourists attractions (such as museums, aqua parks, beaches etc.) and spend their time blowing fireworks and celebrating Bahamas national holiday.
The cruise trip is to take 5 days in the middle of May. The climate at that time is the most pleasant for a cruise trip. Besides, there are not a lot of vacationers at this time, which will not distract credit union member neither from their rest, nor from work.
The price is twenty-five percent paid by Better Horizons Credit Union. Taking into account all accommodation and the road there and back, the price is only $400 for an adult and $200 for a child. All kinds of entertainment provided on board are free, but the on-island activities are on credit union members’ own expense. Within registration for the cruise, credit union members need to pay thirty percent of the cruise cost (the reservation price).
Better Horizons Credit Union is pleased to offer their members to enjoy the cruise trip to Bahamas, as this is a wonderful opportunity to have rest with their family, enjoy the pleasant conditions of a high-class liner and broaden their horizons in the fields of finance and banking. For all the required details, you can contact us and we will answer all your questions.
Sincerely,
Christine Russo
