How the peasants of medieval England and todays “angry white voters” can be compared. Considering their social class, victimization and global capitalism, opportunities or lack of revolution, joining of class and racial politics and their contribution to democracy in the two worlds.
History tends to repeat itself in various societies of the world. This is because people tend to share different aspects that define lifestyle and the way of life. This can be experienced with the onset of politics, social-economic differences, education and many more. People in the same social class tend to have similar characteristics that define their response to life needs and other demands that life puts in their way.
There is animosity in the racial identities. The racial animosity has pushed the white Americans to mistrust the government. The mistrust is pushed by the white American need to have a government that works for the people that look like them. This is racial discrimination which the white Americans are the main proponents. They push for a government that will serve only the whites and see the other races as immigrants who would rather be somewhere else (Kopan, Gray and Diamond 4). It is the reason that white Americans push for a leader who is against immigrants.
The biggest number of white Americans that oppose the government involvement in resource allocation are economically struggling. Their economic situation is on the low and therefore they oppose the government for allocating resources to other races that seem not to be American. This thinking prompts the idea of the white Americans thinking they are the rightful Americans while others are not, the other group of non-Americans are usually believed to be black.
The white Americans are moved on the racial code. The problem stems from their skin color and it is the reason that they feel that they are the right owners. To date, the behavior seems to stem from the medieval period in Britain in which the economically struggling individuals felt superior and were bitter to the government.
Tax payment is an issue since the white Americans feel that they pay taxes that directly help the black Americans. This in its doing is a hard venture for them as they feel neglected and self-pity because they pin the blame to the American government for helping the immigrants. They feel that the government is using their tax money to help the immigrants and it is a hard truth to take. It is the reason that they have to oppose the efforts of the government and in more sense oppose the tax payment.
Racial animosity has also given the white Americans the illusion that payment of taxes should not exceed a certain amount. This is because the economically struggling group feel that the extra funds paid in taxes is given to help the immigrants. This has raised the racial animosity level where the white Americans grow angry and view every black American as an immigrant.
Education
Judging by education, the white Americans recently happy with the sentiments of Trump to make America a Great nation again are the less educated. They compensate their lack of proper education to the anger of having immigrants in American. This has been credited to the ability of the white Americans to depend on the government to provide facilities in various parts of their lives. It is also guaranteed that the white Americans are angry due to the government being large and most of the sections getting serve the blacks.
The problem that comes in education to the extent of segregating the Americans is that resources and the need to have more for themselves is the push factor. This is the reason they are angry and therefore work to reduce the prevalence of the immigrants. It is the reason that they have to support a candidate who is not affiliated to the ideals of the black people. This means that the white Americans will still fight any settlement of the immigrant as people who are in the country to take away what they deserve.
Jobs
The angry-white Americans are not employed and if employed, they hold small positions that earn them low wages. This is the reason that they are angry. They contribute most of their wages to tax and therefore are left with little to fend for themselves. Their anger stems from the inability to live a decent life yet they are working.
Most of them are not working and therefore depend on the various resources and facilities that the government provides. It is the reason that they fight to have a government that can listen to them more and therefore support a presidential candidate that is against immigrants. This problem is prevalent with individuals that depend on the government for support and therefore view the immigrants as individuals who are in the country to reduce their share of the government resources. It means that the more the government accommodates the immigrants is the more the white Americans suffer.
Earning and wage count
Rating the angry white Americans on their level of wages and earnings, they are low paid. They are low paid due to their insufficiency in education and skills. This is a problem that tends to seclude them from the hard working immigrants. This in a way demeans the culture of the nation and limits the need to have a united country where every citizen works to better the situation of the country. The low wages therefore keeps the white Americans on an angry stance where they have to look for someone to blame for their woes.
Most of the time, the complaining parties do not work for what they demand. They put their ideals into calculating and counting their advantages. The advantages are leaned towards their skin color and since they are white, they feel the need to be recognized as the owners of the nation. This gives them the mind to disregard the presence of other races in the country. It is the reason that the Hispanic-Americans and the Black Americans are secluded.
Identity
The angry white Americans are ready to identify themselves with any party or candidate that fosters their interests. It means that the angry white Americans are ready to support Trump as a presidential candidate to the end as long as he continues with his racial animosity stunts. This tends to support the interests of the angry white Americans and it gives them a platform to relieve their anger of the state of affairs.
They feel that America has allowed immigrants to be in the nation and they are the reason that the white Americans feel the economic pinch in life. They support a cause that is against the immigrants and particularly the black people. Their identity therefore lies with a candidate that supports their sentiments in the matters concerning race.
Drawbacks of the U.S. two party system considering representativeness, competiveness and accountability.
Politics has been laid on foundations of fear, needs and aspirations of the white middle-class Americans since World War II (Reno 5). The political scene in the U.S is controlled mostly by the racial and ethnic prevalence. This is the reason that ideas rely on intra-racial basis. Populism is brought about by the culture changes and whites that control the global economy.
This means that the two party system is controlled by a few which makes it a dangerous state of system. The culture and the economy of the people is what controls the parties. The culture belongs to the white middle class while the economy still controls the middle class. This is where political affiliations are rife.
The two party system therefore pits the American people into two categories. The ones controlled by the economy and the ones that are more inclined on culture (Reno 5). This is a wrong perception of a nation since there can never be unity or even progress on a similar ground. The nation is divided into classes which is brought about by the presence of two parties. The parties are inclined on the culture and the economic prowess of the people. It is therefore important to highlight these drawbacks that the parties have brought to the people.
The Democratic Party promises to protect the people who are its voters. This means that in order for the culture of the people to be protected, they have to endorse the candidates affiliated to the Democratic Party (Reno 5). There is the class of the Wealthy and political elites who need their culture to be protected. The control of the economy is what provides this protection and therefore the Americans supporting the Democratic Party candidates base their concern on the need to have a candidate who is affiliated to the protection of the culture in which few individuals are rich and the rest work to maintain the richness of the few (Reno 4).
The people that support the Democratic Party support the elimination of racism, protection of the environment and be recognized as the people that actively participate in political decision making. The protection of these culture therefore requires sober minded individuals and this is where the Democrats come in to be on the top of the list. This has also been the case with the culture being overlooked
The Republican Party promises to improve the economic situation. This is what the middle class Americans aim to achieve. It means that they have to support the prevalence of the party in order for their needs to be addressed and anything less than that is a mistake to the people. Therefore they cannot support the Democratic Party since it has less to nothing to offer them. This case is worse since the middle class aim to find economic prowess through any means possible.
The possibility of achieving economic prowess is to push the government in which they support to incline policies that can support their interests. This means that the American middle class people aim to achieve economic prowess by pushing the resources to serve their advantage. This is the reason that they have intact families, manicured compounds and even luxurious vehicles. It means that political affiliations guarantees economic prowess.
This makes Americans a party affiliated nation. It means that the affiliation to a party guarantees an individual’s interests in life. The separation therefore determines where an individual has to lie. The affiliation determines the benefit and therefore the interests of the people and therefore who they support. This system of parties is a culture that only works to support the interests of a few people.
The tendency of the nation to be affiliated to the parties also determines the leadership and this means that in the case of favoritism, the nation is bound to favor a certain group of individuals into meeting their targets. This makes the party system a flop since it only attracts people in two cadres. This is a problem brought about by the parties. The problem with the party system is that it only has supporters with two interests. The economic and the culture category.
The parties cannot work to comprehensively cover the problems of the Americans in the culture and the economy. This is a problem since there are gaps in the affiliations and therefore the people of the U.S cannot be united. The two party system divides the people and it is the reason the system fails. It means that the two parties are affiliated to the people in different categories. The party that meets the needs of a certain people gets to be voted in while that that meets the interests of the other people who are minor in votes stays out. It means that the candidate and the party are left out of the obligation to contribute to the betterment of the society.
The two party system tends to limit the ideologies of the nation and its people. The people are important in contributing to the good of the nation. It means that a candidate that believes in elevating the economy for the uniformity of the people of the nation cannot be voted in since the party is supported by individuals who are limited to a single category say economic prowess of the middle class or even the culture of the middle class.
This therefore implies that the two party system directs the country into a limited kind of thinking. The thinking is only made to befit the economy and the culture of the American individuals. The scope of thinking for the parties is limited to this people and the votes they give. Therefore the parties depend on capitalizing where the majority votes are and therefore work for the good of the majority that are likely to vote for them.
The party that makes a good impression in ensuring that the culture or the economic stability of the middle class Americans is guaranteed therefore receives the support. The party lines define the essence of the culture and the economy to be achieved by the middle class Americans. It means that the parties therefore are important in professing the needs of the few people and work to ensure that the people reach their goals (Reno 5). This is also the reason that the two party system enforces individualism.
Individualism in the U.S is brought by the system to structure the people into classes. The classes have their different beliefs and the beliefs are built on the needs and welfare of the people. This is where you find that when a party gives a certain class the much needed attention to their needs, then the party is endorsed by the people. This is why the middle class seems to thrive and therefore giving a gap between them and the low class Americans.
