Abstract - The development of fuel consumption mechanisms has been a great revolution of the time. There is research that is being developed to ensure that the fuel consumption is efficient and cost-effective. There are different technologies that are being developed to ensure that this is achieved. One of these technologies for the motorcycle is hydrogen cells. This paper will look at the development of this technologies will also review other fuel consumption technologies that have been developed over time.

- BACKGROUND
Motorcycle use has been seen to be growing in the recent past. There are many developments that have been developed with motorcycle engineering. One of the areas that have seen tremendous research being
carried out is the fuel consumption and processing system. There has been concern on how less fuel can be consumed by automobiles. There are different researches that have been carried out in order to solve this issue (Bell, and Pacheco 72).
- CURRENT SOLUTIONS
There are solutions that have been developed to solve the issue of fuel consumption for the motorcycles. One solution that is being researched upon is the design of the engines. There has been concern about the fuel injection mechanisms of the motorcycle. Researchers are looking at ways in which motorcycle engine can be designed to have efficient internal engine combustion mechanism to reduce fuel consumption. This has been researched for both gasoline and diesel engines. Research is going on about how this process can be redesigned to have efficient fuel consumption process (Andújar and Segura 623).
Another solution that is being researched upon is that of hybrid electric and gasoline/diesel engines. This research tries to have better ways which electric energy can be integrated with the engine system of the motorcycle to have lower use of fuel. The success of this technology will enable the motorcycles consume less fuel (Schulte, Hart, and Van der Vorst 278).
The last technology that is being researched concerning motorcycle fuel consumption is that of the use of hydrogen fuel cells for the motorcycles. This will enable the motorcycles use hydrogen in their which will then reduce the consumption of fuel. This will make fuel consumption economical.
- PROMISING TECHNOLOGY
One of the most promising technologies is that of the hydrogen cells for the motorcycles. There are steps that are seen to be taking place and will change the way motorcycles are developed. The use of hydrogen has been seen to have some advantages like energy efficiency of up to 50% when it is compared to 30% of the internal combustion system of a fuel engine. The second advantage that is seen with the use of this technology is clean emissions which are not harmful to the environment. This will conserve the environment. This is because the emissions from the hydrogen cell system are clear water. The operation is also silent, thus eradicating pollution to the environment (DuBose and Arthur 17).
