Dear colleagues,
The latest mortal car crash induced by a speaking on a cell-phone stockbroker caused concerns about safety on a mobile working place. Center for Disease Control and Prevention has reported around 1.153 injuries and 9 deaths per day caused by distraction from the road. (National2, 2013.).
Thus, the new Corporate Communication Policy decrees no cell phone calls while driving except for emergency, jams or absolute necessity. National sales representatives are also subjected to state laws.
Texas cell phone ordinances are (Cell, 2016; National1,2015):
Ban on all uses of wireless communications devices while driving.
Ban on texting while driving.
Ban on texting and other manual uses of wireless communication devices while driving.
For information regarding other states, see the corresponding Department of Transportation. Please, follow the rules to avoid states’ fins and National’s penalties. The later will be determined within next weeks, for now $300.
National employees working on the field will provide you with headphones and either smartphones or tablets.
Please, note, that the new communication policy effective immediately. Any proposals are welcome
Best regards,
