Article 1
Purpose of the Research:
The article entitled “Beyond Qualitative – Quantitative Distinction: Some Innovative Methods for Business and Management Research” focuses on the mixed methods of research that applies to a number of popular approaches that simply exceed the quantitative – qualitative differences. In business and management researches, the mixed method designs provide sophisticated ideas with potential benefits for the research itself. The entire content of the article demonstrates the appropriateness, especially in the integrated mixed methods with objectives presented. Its primary significance contemplates the usage of the mixed methods research. These mixed methods research can access and interpret various issues that relates to the social world. In addition, the research evaluates propositions theoretically especially derived from complex models.
Research Questions:
The research questions are not clearly specified, however, after a thorough reading, these are the clear points demonstrated as research questions: Which among the mixed methods research movement offers more ethical results? Does the method represent the interests and perspectives of the researchers? Are there potentials on the mixed methods research for insights that would enhance the phenomenon investigated?
Hypothesis:
In the practical and intellectual combination, both the qualitative and quantitative research as mixed methods research to gain quality information, functionality, and comprehensive results that provide excellent data and leads to new discoveries that represent a wide perspective inclusively and complementary.
Variables:
The mixed methods research serves as the independent variables; it allows the various ideas with rich results. It offers wide opportunity to accomplish proper understanding in the case of qualitative or quantitative methods. The researchers or students are the dependent variables to gain much intellect from the multiple sources available; it provides useful and direct knowledge that pertains to the methods utilized by the researchers in business and management research.
Article 2
Purpose of the Research:
The article entitled “Combined Qualitative and Quantitative Research Designs” recognizes the significance of the complexity of the recommended mixed methods research designs. Particularly, the methods focus in the evaluation of the different interventions and its development. The qualitative methods are useful to the development of its quantitative tools and the quantitative research informs qualitative research. The method that complements and explains a primary qualitative data is the quantitative method. Both the qualitative and quantitative methods have equal and parallel intensity. In addition, it reviews the studies that are published with combined approaches in qualitative and quantitative researches. The mixed methods resonate with the complexity of the palliative care that ventures in the research and the employed applications necessary. The research involves the data collection and analysis with integrated finding using qualitative and quantitative approaches. It is recommended that both approaches should develop and evaluate the complex interventions necessary for the palliative care research. Overall, the research requires deep understanding of the research processes and its perspective.
Research Questions:
After a thorough reading, the research questions focused on: Are the palliative care researchers needing innovations or creative approaches in the current generation of researches? Do the multi-dimensional scopes of the increasingly diverse and dispersed nature of the palliative care affects the health and social care of the public?
Hypothesis:
The complexity inherited in the palliative care intensifies the broad and eclectic mindset of the researcher that brings a beneficial effect that openly combined different designs addressing the research issues.
Variables:
The reviewed articles or designs and potential model of mixed methods serve as independent variables: it provides a clear representation of the issues involved in the utilization that develops and evaluates the intervention in the palliative care. The significant reviews of the different issues in the improvement of the intervention effectiveness in palliative care present a better understanding of the whole context of the treatment. The researchers are the dependent variable that are evaluated through the framework for complex development interventions necessary. Researchers undertake the different levels of the methods research required with full understanding of the processes. They recognize the complexities encountered during the processes relating to validity and reliability. The different data collection and sources are available to the researchers for thorough applications of the palliative care. The different elements maximize the achieved knowledge by the researchers.
