Introduction
Manfred Von Richthofen (The Red Baron) was born in 1892 in Brelau. He worked as the last Germany aviator. He flew his war aircraft during the last year of the war until his demise. In his career, he rose to fame for his outstanding work and became a legend before foe and friends. His deeds during the World War One outlived him. He was laid to rest with honor by Germany foes. The British Air Force is on record to have sent a funeral wreath bearing words of honor despite The Red Baron being an opponent during the war. Despite the carnage, The Red Baron, was accorded the utmost moral value and respect. He stood out as an example to embody soldiers, friends and foe alike, from becoming berserk.
Body
The Red Baron served in World War One. Baron Manfred von Richthofen is in his early twenties; he was the lead pilot of the German aerial combat strikes. He is portrayed as a legend during the time he served. He is a feared and respected soldier both at home and the battle field because of its precision and vigor in obliterating the enemies while working with the Allied Forces’ Canadian as a pilot. Alongside is colleagues (Lieutenants Voss, Sternberg and Lehmann), Von Richthofen works duel in the sky to oversee air tactical operations. At some points, they regard their job as a sport; this gives them something to ponder amid the obscurity and danger of the war zone.
The aircraft that Von Richthofen flies has rather a reddish provoking red paint. His colleagues nickname him ‘The Red Baron.’ It makes him rise to fame; to be known by many around the world and home. His fame makes him get idolized by millions of his countrymen; he instilled hope and pride to the warriors. At some point, the German top commanding officers take advantages of his the respect that The Red Baron had earned himself to spread propaganda against enemies. For a long time, he does not seem to mind the use of his name to spread terror until he meets Kate. He falls in love with her and wakes up to reality to realize the world has much more to offer than just wars and dogfights won and challengers overpowered. Manfred von Richthofen ultimately figures of his share in the propaganda machine of a meaningless and brutal war. He later realizes that his sense of chivalry which he had always wanted to maintain has been eroded. He feels worthless for dishonoring the chivalrous code. Despite the change of heart and mass losses of lives, he does not stop flying his war aircraft. He still fulfills his responsibility to his fellow combatants. As he flies around maintaining the aerial view of opponents and providing a tactical advantage to the ground crew, he knows that the reign of The Red Baron with end anytime. The end did come. The Red Baron was downed by an unknown shooter. No tangible evidence suggests where the fatal bullet was fired from.
Conclusion
The Red Baron, despite the errors he made during his career, is undoubtedly an outstanding soldier. He executes terrific aerial dogfights with high precision to a point of gaining admiration from fellow countrymen and foes. His actions continue to be told long after his death.
