This paper sets out to analyze the brand strategy for personal brand namely “ABC”. The paper is basically divided into five major sections including brand description, competitor analysis, USP, positioning, and future considerations.
What is the Brand? it is the talent and set of strategies involved in introducing a brand that can create value for any product or service. The underlying brand, namely ABC, is a student of Finance studying at (name of University). ABC enjoys the possession of several attributes to assert his prominence. Some of the most remarkable of his attributes are as follows. He is extraordinarily intelligent. He practice self-orientation. He is blessed with amazing foresight. He can lead a team of workers by dint of natural leadership characteristics that he has. The brand has excellent communication skills. ABC is zealously hardworking. Along with this, ABC have the qualities like consistency, determination, and strong will power
Targeted Market: The targeted market of ABC is the private finance sector of the UK. Being the student of business management, he is willing to utilize all his core skills to maximum extent in order to get a decent job in finance sector. Private sector is preferred to government sector on the basis of better career opportunities found in former. Given below are the three targeted areas in this context: accountancy and finance; insurance; Banking; Building Societies.
SWOT Analysis : SWOT analysis enables a brand, company, organization, or corporation to evaluate their performance in the light of all their strengths, weaknesses, business opportunities, and underlying threats. Given below is the SWOT analysis for Christopher:
Competitor Analysis: Competitor analysis is all about what a competitor says and what he does. The initial consideration (what he says) refers to the business strategy, while the latter (what he does) is the evaluation of the accuracy in the implementation of this strategy. Sometimes, there can be a far cry between the formulated strategy and its implementation. In simple words, competitor analysis is conducted in order to assess a brand’s competitive position by analyzing the core competencies of its major competitors.
Unique Selling Propositions (USP): Unique selling proposition or USP in short as a statement that throws light on the distinguished characteristics of a products or service (brand) to provide rationale for its sale in the presence of all possible alternatives. Unique selling proposition for ABC is as follows: Brand Personality - ABC’s motto “stay loyal to one’s organization” adds a lot to the strength of his candidature in his targeted market (private finance sector of the UK). Brand Image - ABC stands for wisdom, accuracy, hard-work, and genius. All these attributes imparts the brand richly competitive image. In a nutshell, ABC stands apart from his competitors on the basis of strong brand personality coupled with ideal brand image comprising of the most demanding attributes.
Final Positioning: Despite all the healthy competition (as analyzed in the earlier part of the discussion), the underlying brand stands out in the targeted market by dint of the following features: Differentiation: ABC is hardworking, intelligent, wise, foresighted person, blessed with communication skills, and extensively committed. Most of his major competitors possess 2 or 3 of these attributes being deprived of others. Therefore, he enjoys handsome level of differentiation in his targeted market. Low price: ABC is also willing to compete on price. He has formulated an unorthodox type of strategy for this purpose. Despite all aforementioned skills, he will understate his demanded salary in order to reinforce his chances of selection, but will subordinate his understatement with appropriate fixation of salary after he proves his metal in the probation period. This strategy is based on his confidence of progressing once he steps in.
Future Assumptions: All core capabilities coupled with determination symbolize the indication of bright future for the brand. Given below are some of the future assumptions and considerations for ABC; within next 2 years, ABC aims to get a decent job in the British private finance sector. After getting a job, he will continue his education in order to further strengthen his competitive advantage. In next 5 years, ABC will be able to occupy Finance Manager’s position. Soon after getting the manager’s position and getting handsome increment added to his income, he will invest in some side-businesses in order to generate additional sources of income.
