“Food Security of Tomorrow” One of the main problems today is hunger. Due to the high rate of human development in all spheres of its activity the world's population increase comes up. Besides the hunger lies another serious problem - food insecurity. Our agency “Food Security of Tomorrow” is struggling against these two threats to humanity.
What are the consequences of food insecurity? Rational food is a guarantee of the health. Chronic lack of proper nutrition leads to physical, social and psychological problems for both children and adults. Moreover, a major problem is the low quality and low-price food, which leads to such effects as obesity, poisoning of the organism and the general disorder of health. Aside from the physical manifestations of this problem, it creates some problems in society. Thus, hunger can lead to political instability and mass conflict. Every year a number of riots grows because of rising food prices.
What are the projections of this problem? Although, it is predicted the growth of production of world reserves of food, the number of famished would increase. By 2050 the world population will reach 9 billion, and approximately, every ninth resident will suffer from chronic malnutrition.
What are the measures to prevent this problem, and what is the main task of our “Food Security of Tomorrow” agency? The object of “Food Security of Tomorrow” is built on three pillars: food availability, food access and food use. We provide a sufficient number of products available on a permanent basis. We will distribute evenly the required amount of resources. In addition, we monitor the proper use of food, water and their quality. The number of products in the world is sufficient, the problem lies in their distribution. “Food Security of Tomorrow” agency has developed an innovative project that defines the daily rate of product per capita. Today we are working on the promotion of the plan with the help of the state government. We calculated how to use the current production level to provide every U.S. resident with food. In our study, we took into account the challenges of globalization and developed the schemes to preserve food security. Our project is innovation, we hope that after its realization and attaining the first positive results, other countries will follow our example. (Who.in., 2016).
Are there any solutions of food security problems? Food Safety solutions should primarily include the liquidation of poverty. However, there are other aspects of safety of food security which can be solved immediately. Some solutions for food security protection include the following: sustainable agriculture, the improvement of agricultural biodiversity, the U.S. policy changes, food justice and food sovereignty, the right of peoples to define their own food and agriculture. (Foundation, 2016).
The keys to our success are the investment in cutting-edge scientific, technological and agricultural research for the development of strong seeds and non-hazardous fertilizers. As a result of the success, the production of farmers will grow three times. We will expand the agricultural trade market by increasing the average income of the average farmer. We also provide the access for farmers to capital to expand their farms and for to purchase the latest equipment. We also provide consulting services to help the farmers to choose a specific strategy to get the best result. These developments will help to create sustainable agriculture not only properly in the region or state, but in the whole country. Also, we have a plan to protect the rights of vulnerable groups of people. We will provide poor people with food to help them in the times of crisis. Thus, we will teach the country how to maintain their population without depleting their natural resources.
Malnutrition, population growth and growth of food price along with the climate change and water shortages - together create significant problems for achieving global food security. The main obstacles to food security include the extreme poverty, the lack of food distribution, the supply disruptions, the food waste, the government policies that inhibit trade and adversely affect farmers, the biofuel growth and the impact on the environment. Our agency “Food Security of Tomorrow” has been working to improve food security by opening up markets, supporting small farmers, allowing the United States to realize its potential in agricultural production, reforming biofuel mandates, using technology to improve nutrition, strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, as well as the promotion of agricultural investment.
