Training and development enhance employee job satisfaction: Job satisfaction plays a significant role in improving employee productivity, motivation and low turnover (Khan, Khan & Khan, 2011). Therefore, training and development will help in nurturing workers to develop a more rounded skill set that will lead to job satisfaction. Training increases flexibility and efficiency among health professionals. Practical training and development will make sure that physicians are more competent in providing health services, customer service, administration, and other operations in the organization (Jehanzeb & Bashir, 2013). As a result, training and development will make business to run better due to enhanced employee performance.
IT training may find usage as a retaining tool and thus instill commitment among workers. Staff will be motivated to stay in the organization if they have the opportunity for learning and growing within the entity. Therefore, the organization will end up having employees who are more productive and committed to their work.
Training and development will facilitate knowledge transfer within the organization. It will help the organization to optimize the individual knowledge and skills by assigning them to many employees. Consequently, there will be improved performance within the organization as a whole.
Basic Elements of Training Need Assessment
The organization needs to have the workforce that is well conversant with the modern health information technology to offer quality health services.
The training and development are aimed at ensuring that all employees in the organization can use advanced health information technology to improve performance and productivity.
The training and development should mainly focus on workers who have poor computer knowledge and skills, as much as other workers may be included.
Design and Implementation
Training and development program will be a mixture of knowledge and career development that are aimed at meeting the goals and objectives of the organization. This approach will be beneficial to both workers and the organization (Jehanzeb & Bashir, 2013).
Both internal and external consultants will be used to facilitate training and development program. For acquiring a reduction in the training cost, the organization will use both online and physical training, which will alternate between the departments. Training and development materials will be developed by the consultants who will lead the program.
