PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY IN EDUCATION
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY IN EDUCATION
Education is the process of molding a child from a tender age into a mature person. It is the process of preparing a child for the future life. Due to this fact, teachers ought to facilitate the growth of the children in academics, personality, and other ethical aspects of the society. It is the duty of the teacher to equip the learner with the necessary tools to succeed in life.
Learners have diverse abilities. The different capabilities on the children need to be captured in order to bring the best out of them. All children ought to be molded into mature, independent ones. On the same note, their ethnic difference, race, genders, and age should not be an impediment in the process of learning. The classroom difference among the learners helps to bring the diversity exhibited in the society. Teaching strategies ought to reflect the diverse cultural, ethnic, age, disability of all learners such that there is no child left behind. The goals and aspiration of each student are also critical and hence the teaching and evaluations method ought to reflect the same. For example, I can create time to assist the weak students before the end of the lessons. At the same time, those who learn faster can be engaged on other activities. The pace of teaching should reflect the majority of the classroom.
The relationship between the teacher and the immediate community ought to be mutual. The teacher draws the learners from the community while at the same time helping mold the society. In the case of parents, the teacher, and the parents should remain in a constant contact for the benefit of the learners. Teachers on the other hand ought to maintain a professional contact and work as a team to benefit the learners and the society as a whole. The administration links the whole institution and the society and facilitates the running of the education centres.
