Hi [Insert Classmates Name],
I do agree that traditional functions performed by Government should still be performed by them, but I would like to add the point that in a situation where the Government has consistently failed in delivering services that are traditionally delivered by Governments, such services should be entrusted to private entities. The Private entities should be properly scrutinized to ensure that the work done meets the quality required. If this is a bit of a stretch, then such Government should acknowledge that they are not performing well and should seek the cooperation of private companies. This will ensure that the Government and Municipal Counties are in control of the services being offered. It is true that Municipal Counties cannot compare to scale as regards services offered when compared to Governments, but private entities can match the capacity needed to provide services where huge capacities are needed by forming partnerships and working together.
Examples
In my post I posted about services that are traditionally handled by the Government. These services include provision of health services and education services to the children. These services are termed as very important to the population and therefore have always been provided for traditionally by government. Another reason that these services are usually provided by Government is the capital intensive nature of running them. The health and education services require a lot of capital to run and normally only Governments can have such amounts of money required. These are the examples of services that I was thinking of while writing my response.
