Question One:
The time management guides for eliminating time wasters are; understanding my roles at work fully, having a schedule of all my activities before the day starts, delegating duties in advance, and respecting my job such that I do not need to be supervised to work. In addition, there is the need to do the easy tasks when the mind is fresh and finishing with the hard ones, and doing a monthly review to check if I have met all my time targets ("Master These Time Management Skills").
Question Two: Misleading Time Management Myths
He/she has more time than I have: This myth gives a person a reason to justify why he/she has not performed the duties well or has had a poor result at work. There are twenty-four hours in a day and all that is necessary is for a person to have a schedule of his/her time and time management will be good.
There are just is no adequate time to do all the allocated things in a day: This is because of poor time management since it is the person to plan the day and not the other way round that the day should plan an individual. The best way is to schedule personal activities within the allowed time.
Someday the pressure will be off: People use this myth when carrying forward their job tasks. The individual postpones doing a task to another day hoping there will be less pressure, find time for it, not knowing it piles work, and makes it hard to meet the goals in future.
Question Three: Use of Strategies for improving time management skills and minimizing stress at the work place
Be a noble listener, give a short response, and avoid wasting time on a small talk. Listening well and answering questions in a sound mind helps save time since there are no repetitions. On the contrary, people with poor listening skills are time wasters since they need more explanations on simple tasks.
Overwork tension is due to poor work habits. Good time managers are creative and avoid overwork tension because they complete an activity when it emerges (Zampetakis, Bouranta and Moustakis). Workers with faulty work habits postpone doing things and let them pile and when the delivery dates are due they have tension and feel overworked since they have to finish all their work in the short duration allowed.
Setting your watch ahead by fifteen minutes allows enough time to get at work, have unhurried breakfast, and attend appointments and meetings timely. Having a watch set fifteen minutes ahead triggers the mind to rush against time. At the end, the person will do his/her activities in advance and will always have time to spare and avoid a last-minute rush.
