In the article, the author argues that nowadays photography has become thoughtless. The point is that nowadays, photographing tolls (such as camera) are available and every person is able to buy it. The usage of different filters, as one of the main ways of bettering a photograph, kills photography as art. The author of the article stated that modern photographers would never be able to create something original and unique because they simply do not know the history of photography.
Paul Strand stated that modern photographers destroyed all the progress, which previous generations of masters of photography had reached. The point is that modern trend of using lenses, textures, filters is growing faster and destroying the art of photography. Photographers of previous generations have been inspired by the works of talented masters of painting. On the contrary, modern photographers ignore to study the history of this art and perform by intuition and not by their knowledge. The author of the article argues that modern photographers will never create anything genius because they are unable to see the world around them. The point is that they know almost nothing about the art of photography. It is not only because they do not know they history of photography, they do not know the tools and techniques used in it, as well.
