Benefits and Dangers of Global Language by David Crystal
One of the most obvious dangers of English as a global language by David Crystal is that the nations where English is considered a second language, they will be at a disadvantage, in front of the communities that have it as a mother tongue. The second most prominent danger is that once the people have mastered English, they will be lazy to study any other language. The advantage is that since English has been spoken for years, there are many communities that find it similar or part of it similar to their own language which makes it easy to understand and speak. Second, the advantage of the global language is that the people who have mastered it, have a specific power and an edge over the other people who have not mastered it .
