Millennium park is a park located in Chicago whose establishment plans were initiated in the last one decade by then Chicago mayor Richard .M. Daley. People never believed those plans by the mayor because they seemed to be non-practicable. This park is well known in the United States and also in the entire world because of its attractive features. The park occupies a large area of Chicago in Illinois the United States land. It is an urban landscape which has attracted millions of people since it was built .It is one of the prominent architectural sites in America that created a lot of attention on its establishment and expansion because it attracted many architects in designing the projects that was launched in. This park has grown due to continuous projects initiated by different Individual, and it is characterized by some of its features that include the cloud Gate, Jay Pritzker and Crown Fountain.It is a tourist attraction site in the present day. Millennium Park operates in the sense that it can be termed as relational aesthetic because it facilities some human relations and social factors that are associated with human life. It is through the structures that are in Millennium Park. These features enable individual to interact in their context. Jay Pritzker Pavilion is one of the more important structures in this park it portrays some information as per the artist who designed it, and this enables viewers to interpret some messages from it in a different manner. This structure is bandshell, and it was designed by Frank Gehry who included some informative features into it too which included a stage designed in a way that it is framed in curving plates that are stainless. It also has seats too that facilitates people to be able to attend in large numbers involving thousands. The pavilion has a theater in it which is known as Harris that facilitates music and dance. Harris Theater has a big room to accommodate an audience and enable many people who are interested in music and dance to be able to enjoy themselves and interact with each other. The stage is also large enough to the extent it can be occupied by 150-person chorus. The structures are fitted with all musical requirements enabling band music to be effective. Through all these facilities, the music industry has developed a lot. The band shell design of the pavilion is a band shell, and this gave clear information that the facility was to be used by bands during performances and music practices. By these facilities, the band music has developed in many places, and it is rooted back to Chicago (Smith 147). Millennium Park is relational aesthetic facility because through the Crown fountain because through this structure people have gained a lot of benefits and by the artistic works of the individuals who were involved in its designing and establishment developed and modification has been achieved. This structure was named after the Crown family, and it was designed by Jaume Plensa. It is a tower which is well looking and so attractive too, and many people are in recognition of it. The fountain was well designed planned, and it facilitated a lot of activities in the park. Crown fountain was as a result of mixed works that involved public art and video sculpturing. The features of this structure were very informative because it portrayed dualism in accordance to the majority of the many people who saw it and interacted in the modified park. Through the make of this fountain, the artistic and entertainment features were appreciated by individuals who saw it. It was so extraordinary because it was tall, and the materials that made it were very informative. It was 50 feet tall and was covered with black granite. The themes of this tower model were well displayed, and the information of the artist who was Plensa was well interpreted. The themes that were displayed were dualism, light and water. The structure facilitated interaction of public and the water in the artistic fitting or setting. Crown fountain has attracted different individuals with different aims. Many people went there for photographic while others hosted meetings in it. The tower was fitted with cameras at its top and this led to the introduction cameras in the land. Many people were attracted to shoot videos in this place because it was a double shot because the images appeared on two screens. It apply area for people, and it offered a place for people to hide during hot summer season. It was also attractive to children especially the waterfall (Smith 157). By cloud Gate, individuals can interact and associate effectively because the structure attracts a lot of people meet there at the same time. It is brought about by the unique features which are found in the facility and different individual can interpret the artistic information of the themes passed through. When artists are making any art or item in the art, they usually have information that they want the viewer to get and through it development and modernization are brought upon. Cloud gate is a bean like structure that is 60 feet long and 30 feet high. The facility is made of stainless steel surface which is highly polished and when individuals are walking along they usually take their time to admire themselves by the reflections of the stainless steel. The highly polished surface of this structure enables individuals to see their images and that of their neighbors and other structures that are near. It creates recreational time to most people, and it makes them happy and they appreciate the uniqueness of the structure to their lives as a whole. The work of designing and establishment was done by Kooper whose work is really appreciate by many who see this unique and really attracting structure and he was the one who give it the name cloud gate(Koval 201). The McCormick Tribune Plaza was another structure that was near the millennium park it was a center for skating and it really facilitated many people to build on their skating skills and talent too. It was also considered to be doubling on delivering its duty, and this depended on the season of the year. Skating as we know needs presence of vices that will enable people to skate well and enjoy their exercise. The skating process was a free offer to the public, and this helped people come together and it created a bond between them. In the Months when the ice is not available the space serves the second the duty that is acting as an outdoor dining area. It served this duty because it was connected with the restaurant that was in progress all the year long. This facility is named after the sponsor who was McCormick Tribune Foundation. During the period of operation, it facilitated musical performances. It was a nice place to visit and people liked and valued it because it had good and affordable services and facilities. Lurie Garden is another feature that is associated with Millennium Park, and it reflected some information to the users because it resembled the history and the past times by its environment. It covers three acres of park. It was characterized by two kinds of plates. The dark plate and the light plate in which, the dark area reflected the history of Chicago and it was covered by some trees which formed a canopy and it gave a mirror on the history of Chicago as it was explained by the shade loving plants. The light plate was a reflection of the city’s future with sun-loving perennials that thrive in heat and light. This garden acted as a recreational center for many people and individuals liked being in this place. It also gave nice information to the citizens and residents of Chicago and really appreciated their history and they focused towards the positive side of the positivity and achievement of the city and the country as a whole (Koval 205). Conclusively the uniqueness of Millennium Park had a lot of positive influence to the people in the world and also the Americans. It is because its artistic features were informative, and it facilitated development in the area that it was surrounding it and for it the city of Chicago has developed over the years. It should be known that artistic materials are not just made for fun but important values that they contain and the teach.
