Application of Ethical Theory
Ethical theory is a crucial aspect to consider before in decision making concerning a given subject. The process of applying ethical theory involves asking questions about whether undertaking a particular issue will be morally acceptable. Morality is an inquiry into the good expected out of a particular subject that needs to be done (Abbate 147). Currently, the Society has had many transformations to an extent that people undertake issues without regarding the concept of morality (Todd Peters 132). However, those embracing rationality are likely to question the impact of the outcome on the basis of morality. For instance, an individual who wants to carry out abortion is likely to be faced with many ethical questions that include:
Is abortion morally acceptable in the society?
Is it going to conflict with my religious beliefs?
Will I be doing harm to a living being?
What will be the perception of my friends who had already noticed it?
Comparing giving birth and abortion, which is the best option?
On the other hand, there are several non-ethical issues involved in the above case. These encompass, the cost of living, the burden of nursing a kid, maintenance of body shape, alternative methods opposed to abortion, and the likelihood of been excluded by peers without children (Abbate 154). A thorough investigation of the matter is required to justify the most probable action to undertake. An individual use different item that elucidates on the issue, for example, books, journals, and clinical website. Besides, carrying out a social research can also yield responses that are likely to guide the decision.
