In the modern society, one should try all the best to find a person who does the good without demanding something back. We got used living in the world full of evil and sly people who can easily stab in the back recognizing it as a normal action of survival. There are people, however, who try to make this world better helping others and showing God’s love instead. Servant evangelism is a way how we can show and share God’s love by helping each other without asking back. Their actions are an embodiment of kindness and sympathy to others. It is mentioned in Galatians that “As we have opportunity, let us do good to all people” 1, we should give a hand of help to those who are looking for it and cannot live without it. The variety of this help can be different – from giving some water to those who are thirsty to putting someone up for the night when it’s needed. The examples of servant evangelism are endless but the most significant factor is that nothing is being asked in return.
Moreover, you can help not only with a thing but with a word as well. The number of people, who are getting confused in their lives, is increasing more and more. In Peter 3:15, it is advised to help the needed by giving not a piece of bread, but a piece of advice, instead : “You should be ready to answer every question and provide the reason and the hope for those who need them”3. If you know your destination and the way to it, help others to find and follow them.

It is also impossible to demonstrate your belief in God without doing good things. These elements are inevitable and connected with each other. In James 2:14-20 people, who do suppose in it, are called foolish and it doesn’t require any evidence to prove this fact: “As a person, you are very foolish if you need some evidence to believe that the faith without deeds has no use at all”4. Your faith ought to be based on your actions as it is the smallest thing how you can show your love and devotion to God.
