Section I. Reflections
My reflection on Assignment 1 incorporates that it will be challenging to motivate the teenagers to attend the 3D program. The teenagers will be unwilling to register for the program and even after being registered, they may not be consistent towards attending the program. This is due to the fact that teenagers will want to spend their weekend by means of engaging in some extracurricular and recreational activities. Moreover, the teenagers who already have encountered the situation of driving under influence will also refrain from attending this program due to their juvenile or resistant behavior.
The revision for assignment 1 encompasses the prevalence of motivational strategies in order to ensure that a large number of teenagers register for this program and remain consistent till the completion of the training sessions. In this manner, the adequate promotional activities will be conducted by means of print media, social media and campaigns. The interactive and inspirational quotations and animations will be used in order to intrigue the parents and teenagers to develop positive inclination towards the program.
The reflection on Assignment 2 incorporates that effective audio visual aid will be used to enlighten the target teenagers about the effects of driving under influence. It will help the teenagers to remain indulged with the subject matter and grasp the teachings in an effective manner. The overall instruction plan is considered very detailed and is able to all the learning objectives of the training program.
The revision for Assignment 2 encompasses the readjustments in budget and hence, cut down of $6.9 million will take place because most of the resources will be provided by the community centers and respective schools. In this manner, the program also accounts for the marketing and administrative expensive and due to the social objectivity of this program, the program will be administered by the volunteers.
Section II. Promotional Plans
Worksheet 1
The combination of communication and promotional strategies will be used in order to reach the target audience in an effective manner. It is evident that the most teenagers leans and adapt their lifestyle based on the content that has been promoted through social media and hence, social media is found to be effecting the attitude and behavior of teenagers at a higher extent. In this manner, the promotional content and message will be communicated using the social media channels, mainly comprising for Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram, so that teenagers can be enlightened with the objective and significance of attending the program. It will help in reinforcing the message content and will also influence the target audience’s opinion (Belch & Belch, 2003; Oplatka et al., 2002).
The content will be communicated via the print media, in which flyers and brochures will be distributed at the community centers, community church and schools. In this manner, teenagers, teachers and parents will be enlightened with the message content and will understand its significance. Moreover, promotional campaigns will be used in which personal communication will be incorporated. The volunteers for campaigns will visit the community centers and schools and will develop their stalls and will incorporate the motivational speech, in order to attract the target audience. It will be ensured that the volunteers belong from the same community, school and age group so that they can influence the opinion of teenagers in an effective manner.
The message content will be comprised of the significance of understanding the hazard of driving under influence and will also address the increasing statistics of teenagers encountering with the driving accidents due to DUI. It will also enlighten the objective of the program and will provide the information about the registration process and fees of the total program. This information will be communicated 2 months before the initiation of the program so that the message can be communicated and the target audience can be exposed to the message in an effective manner.
Section III. Program Budget
The resources, mainly comprising of seating arrangements, computers, screens, writing materials, bulletin boards and speakers will be provided by the community centers and educational institution where the training program will be accommodated.
The program is projected to incorporate profit, considering the total income of $100,000 with the expense of $90,000. The participants will be charged $100 for their registration and training sessions, and the fees is calculated on the basis of ensuring that it meets the expenses in an effective manner.
Section IV. Support Services
The support services are necessary for program success based on the following grounds:
The support services will ensure that the online queries, as a result of social media marketing, are responded in an effective manner.
The support services will provide the target audience and parents with the basic understanding about the training program and will address their issues and concerns.
The support services will ensure that the training is incorporated in an effective manner and all the electronic equipment are working effectively.
The support services will provide the study and writing material to the students during session and will address their issues.
The support services will ensure that the deadlines for the training schedule have been met in an effective manner.
Section V. Administrative Responsibilities
Contingency Plan
The Contingency plan is discussed below:
If the overall plan fails to attract an optimum number of target audience and hence, the enrollments are not enough to execute the training sessions. Therefore, the school management, students and trainers will be informed about the cancellation of the program and the students will be provided with the fee refund.
If the trainers fail to reach the training venue then the training head will be responsible to execute the training program, since he was actively engaged in the development of instructional plan. The print media and audio visual aid will be used to assist the training head and the training session will resume as scheduled.
If the trainer has to cancel the training session due to health issues or emergency, the above mentioned plan will be followed.
If the electronic equipment does not work then the training session will be shifted to any other classroom.
Section VI. Summative Evaluation Plan
The trainers and instruction planners are considered as the stakeholders in the evaluation process because it will provide them about the extent of effectiveness of the training program. It will eventually indicate the trainers’ efficiency and will also integrate with the effectiveness of the instruction plan for enlightening the teenagers with the potential negative effects of driving under influence and how to cope if they are encountered with these situations.
The trainers and instruction planners would expect to know if the training program has remained effective by means of determining if participants are able to recall the negative effects of alcohol and understand the biological effects of alcohol on human body. The trainers will expect that the participants understand the notion that can lead them towards the accidents and also understand their legal implications. The participants can take adequate measure and can refrain from driving due to their alcohol influence. In this manner, the extent of knowledge will help the stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of the program and they would want to know that the participants have effectively acquired this knowledge and are able to implicate them in an effective manner.
The primary purpose of the evaluation will be to determine the effectiveness of training during the initial stage of the training sessions. It will help the stakeholders to determine if the current training and instruction plan is effective or require modifications under the prevalence of ineffectiveness. It will help the stakeholders to determine the aspects that the participants failed to understand so that the instruction plan can be modified to address the learning needs of the participants.
In this manner, summative evaluations will be conducted in which the participants will be required to assess their level of understanding with the learning outcomes of the training program. The feedback mechanism will be incorporated in which the participants will determine the extent to which they have learnt throughout the learning sessions. Moreover, quiz will be incorporated in order to determine the learning extent of students and the quiz will be comprised of the objective questions based on the reading and learning material that was presented to the participants. Moreover, survey questionnaire will be used to determine the extent to which students have learnt and hence, the results of the questionnaire will be empirically tested in order to analyze their effectiveness in the long term and hence, program design and learning change will be evaluated in an effective manner (Eseryel, 2002; Caffarella & Daffron, 2013).
Section VII. Description and Justification of Evaluation Methods
Section VIII. Description and Justification of Data Analysis Process
The results should be shared with the educational institutions, from where the students participated, so that the educational institutions can determine the extent to which the students possess the prior information. In this manner, the knowledge of the participants can be reviewed and recalled by the students due to the persistence of educational institution. The parents of the participants should also be provided with the results so that they can understand the extent to which their children can face issues related to the alcohol intake.
The exposure of results to the parents will also make the parents relieved about the potential threat of driving under influence towards their children and hence, they will be able to enlighten and educate their children about the safety measures and alcohol intake in accordance with their performance in results. The participants will also be provided with their results so that they can reflect on their performance and grasp the concepts which they failed to understand in the first place.
These overall statistics of the results will be made public and hence, will be shared with the federal transport agency so that it can provide the long term statistics about the number of incidents involving teenagers who have encountered the case of driving under influence. In this way, the effectiveness of the training program will be determined in a broader perspective and its continuous execution will be decided on the basis of the practical results acquired by the number of incidents. These results will be shared with the training staff and instruction planners so that they can determine the effectiveness of the training program and can incorporate necessary modifications and adaptations in the training design, teaching style and learning material.
Section IX. Conclusions
The assignment enlightens the practical implication of the 3D program and provides the systematic means of program execution. The marketing plan addresses the marketing activities that are required to target a large number of population and acquire an optimum number of participants to register in the training program. Similarly, the program budget also ensures the financial feasibility of the program and indicates that this problem will not incur any financial loss. Moreover, administrative plan address all the necessary activities that are required to plan, implement and execute the training program and ensures the participation of the all the respective departments and key position holders. However, modifications in the administrative plan may take place if more than one training sessions are required to be executed at one time. Similarly, delay in acquiring support from the sponsors and school principals can effect the deadline and can delay the training sessions.
The summative evaluation plan has enlightened the broader perspectives for the effectiveness of the training session because its effectiveness will result in the reduced number of incidents, better social life and relief for parents. In contrast with the previously developed plan, the evaluation was focused on ensuring the learning extent of the participants, however, the summative evaluation has ensured the improvements in the training content and instruction design on the basis of the learning extent of the participants. The entire planning project is highly focused on the enhancing the wellbeing of the teenagers and ensure that they are being educated towards maintaining their social life by means of alcohol intake in an effective manner. The project addresses the need for training the target participants in an effective manner and provides a systematic means of implementing and executing the training plan.
