Organization is a group of people who come together to achieve a set of goals. Each organization develops a structure to function to move towards the set goals for the organization. How the organization forms a structure determines flexibility and agility of the organization. In the volatile business world nowadays, any organization requires developing its agility and flexibility to position the organization against the volatility in the markets. The main factors are the people who feel belonging to the organization because they would like to take responsibility to reach the set goals.
The individuals in the organization would like to feel that they are being a part of the process of developing functions, and production. If the organization management can build a suitable working environment inside the organization, the individuals’ contribution to the production of the company becomes relatively higher. There are some important factors those might increase the productivity through increasing the workers’ performances as follows: 1-Open information for everybody, 2-Easy-to-understand work processes, and 3-Decision-making process with the principle of high participation (Musalli, Harun, & Zainnudin, 2015).
The information in an organization is like blood which carries everything all around the body. The information about the functions inside the organization should be available to all workers; therefore, the employees can feel that they are equal inside the organization, and the organization gives the complete information to them because there are essential expectations from them. On the other side, it is true that the open information social environments are relatively more suitable for new inventions and innovative ideas. The organization has to give the opportunity to everybody in the organization to develop new ideas for coping with the issues inside the organization. Classifying workers into strict departments might decrease the productivity and the loyalty of the employees. Therefore, the person who is on the bottom of the organizational scheme might develop relatively better innovative ideas than the other people. Not missing this probability, the organization has to give equal opportunity to everybody, and the first condition for this is to implement an open information policy (Sahebnazar & Dadfar, 2016).
The second term for a relatively more efficient organizational structure is to create easily understandable work processes. Some work steps might require a high level of technical information, and only the workers with the educational and experience background might deal with these actions. However, to increase the productivity and the personnel performances, all the workers have to understand how the organization works, and what their positions are. If they know where they are located inside the body, they can develop relatively more loyalty to the organization, and they can be relatively more productive.
Finally, the most important principle of the institutions has to develop a democratic culture inside the organization. The participation is one of an essential keys to the success. As independent of the organization, it is possible to develop a participatory democratic decision-making process, and that will increase the loyalty among the individuals in the organization as well as their productivity. The more centralized decision making decreases a demotivation among the workers.
Consequently, the personnel performances are an essential part of the organization productivity. In the past, it was believed that relatively more strict rules would increase the productivity; however, the studies indicate that when the individuals become relatively more loyal and part of the organization if only if they are given relatively more freedom, and they can be a part of decision-making in the organization. The primary aim of the organizations is that all the organizations (of course the legal ones) try to develop a service for the humankind. Therefore, increasing the participation of every single human in the organizations will increase the productivity and efficiency in the use of resources (Shafiee, Razminia, & Zeymaran, 2016).
