Slide 2:
Asthma is considered as a chronic lung inflammatory disease that is exemplified by persistent complications in breathing, bronchial hyper-responsiveness, and impediment of the airflow. These characteristics of asthma determine the clinical symptoms and severity of asthma and also the degree of response to asthma (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2009).
Slide 3:
Looking at the current statistics, about 22 million persons in the United States are affected by asthma; putting it on a note of being the most common chronic diseases that is affecting many people. While trailing the existing trends that are associated with the occurrence of asthma in relation to time and between countries, has been considered as a significant problem, particularly when directed towards the definition of the concept.
Slide 4:
Asthma has been taken as a worldwide concern, and the occurrence of the disease has been determined to be higher within region of affluent populations than the non-affluent ones. The frequency of asthma happening in childhood segment has been classified to be varying between 1 per cent and 30 per cent, within a different realm of populations.
As a way of dealing with asthma, there has been reported data on the causative of asthma is childhood, with early exposure to cats and dogs being a significant cause. Therefore, to reduce chances of getting asthma, one has to avoid the idea of having dogs or cats within their homes; particularly those with biparental atopy. Treatment and prevention of asthma is also associated with the idea of breastfeeding; hence being an important recommendation for mothers to breastfeed their children because of the many benefits associated with the milk (Subbarao, 2009).
Secondary prevention
Tobacco smoking has been a serious health habit that has caused more harm because of the deadly components that are found in tobacco. Since it is directly associated with lungs; it therefore, predisposes the respiratory functioning of a person into serious complication. Therefore, health care experts recommend the evasion of tobacco smoke each time one comes across someone smoking. It is also recommended that appropriate environment control should be enhanced, and this is supposed to start from ensuring that the environment is free of house dust mites (Subbarao, 2009).
Tertiary prevention
The tertiary part of dealing with asthma has to be with the strategies of controlling allergens, particularly those that a person is quite sensitized to. Therefore, one should considerably reduce the exposure of such allergen.
Slide 6:
The selected interventions have been considered as an effectiveness mode of addressing issues related to the occurrences and complications of asthma in relation to the applicability of the intervention; effectiveness of the preventive measures and strategies towards liberation from asthma; and finally the controlling of the environment that is achieved effectively by applying their measures in the right context (Subbarao, 2009).
Slide 7:
There is a huge indication of growth in term of applying different trends in trying to implement new strategies as a measure of combating the issue of asthma. In this case, a number of issues indicates such growth of new trends in the prevention of the problem. First, it has to do with improvement of the self-management programs in relation to preventing the occurrence of asthma all over the world; and the creation of a notification services concerning the avoidance of various items or things that do not please or create a basis of asthma.
