Since then, Bruce had not permanently leave the kung fu lessons and constantly trained. His main style in kung fu became Wing Chun style, which he studied in Hong Kong since 1956 with great master Yip Man. Bruce Lee's private lessons cost about $ 275 per hour, which was very expensive, so it could ensure Lee’s financial independence in the years ahead. However, he didn’t get main roles in the movies and that fact upset him terribly. In 1971, disappointment Bruce Lee decided to leave the United States and return with family to Hong Kong.

At this time, no one offered to his father role in the movie, so in 1971 they were forced to return to Hong Kong. He spent his childhood in Hong Kong, where he learned Cantonese and mastered the technique of Jeet Kun Do. In five years, he was already able to walk on his hands and took out a jump to his father's chin. After moving of family from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, Brandon started going to school, where had previously trained his father. As the popularity of Bruce began to grow, Brandon began to face with problems in college, which were caused, by status as the son of the star.
When his father died, Brandon was 8 years old. Mother Linda Emery, took him and his sister in the United States, where they lived first in Seattle and then in California. While studying in school, he has performed at small theaters. After school, he studied at the Emerson College in Boston. Debuting in the theater on the outskirts of New York City, Brandon, in 1985 went looking for luck in Hollywood. In the beginning he was accepted in Hollywood as the son of a great actor and not as an independent person. So after failed attempts in the film "Crime Killer" (1985), "Kung Fu: The Movie" (1986) Brandon goes to China. There he received his first starring role in the film "The Legacy of Wrath" (1986). But the picture, despite the success, released only in some cities of China. Initially the role of Eric Draven planned River Phoenix or Christian Slater. Filming began on February 1, 1993 in Wilmington, and on the same day Brandon was 28 years old. On 31 March, at 12:30 a.m., during the shooting one of the final scenes where the protagonist shoot a pistol, Brandon was shot in the stomach. The accident was caused by the special film device-squib, which stuck in the barrel. Brandon died 12 hours later in a hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina.
