The ever-increasing need to expand and grow businesses in terms of productivity and marketability various companies to stretch to the global market. The need to secure upcoming markets internationally has facilitated a shift of companies from the local approach the international business arena (Ali, 2009). This essay seeks to develop a framework through which a larger perspective of some companies expanding to the Middle East, particularly in the in the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain be examined. The companies that will be investigated include the Manpower Group,
Manpower Group is a Fortune 500 Company, which links human potential to the power of business. The Company serves both small and large firms in all the sectors. It uses four primary brands, which include Manpower Group Solutions, Manpower, Experis and Right Management. The Company has endeavored in expanding its network and marketing niche abroad (Ali, 2009). This has seen, the Company relocates an estimate of an estimate of 30,000 direct employees and employes an approximate of 4.4 million employees annually.
Another Company is the S.C. Johnson and Son Company, which deals with manufacturing of household cleaning and supplies. In each year the company relocates an estimate of 1.4 million to various nations in the UAE per year (Cullen & Parboteeah, 2014). The expansion strategy is motivated by the Company’s internal structure, which has facilitated the opening of more offices and subsidiaries in other nations to serve the increasing demands of human labor. This study finds out that, the two companies would source employees for their own subsidiaries in the United Arab Emirates and other others for their potential organization that need human resource power (Mababaya, 2002). The two companies have been in business for the past 30 and more years.
