I would like to be an IT manager at the best companies. I believe the future works would depend on the IT management. I have studied on computer sciences and information technologies. My work experience has mainly been on the information technologies. I have worked at varying workplaces where I had the chance to apply different information technologies to the varying businesses.
My father has inspired me to learn about information technologies. In fact, he had a work experience during which he did become open to learning new things in information technologies as a computer programmer. He taught me some programming and that stimulated my learning appetite. I have learned Visual Basics by myself. Nowadays, I still work on developing my programming skills. I am spending time and effort to learn Java programming. In the following paragraphs, I will explain why I believe that I need to learn more and work in the IT industry.
Computers have transformed our ways of doing work into a more efficient process. Every work needs an institutional memory, information processing and decision making. Information technology by using some specific software contributes us to develop better processes ending with a decision making. Information technology uses databases, specific programs to analyze work related data and qualitative information and impressive user-friendly interfaces to enable all the workers to get involved with the technology.
Using information technologies at workplaces causes an amazing increase in the productivity. In the past, the workers were spending a lot of time to find a solution for simple things. For instance, writing similar letters to different people and institution could take a few weeks. However, nowadays, even the MS Office Programs can decrease the time necessary for writing similar letters to a few minutes. Thus, many processes could be shortened. More efficient ways of working could be developed. In another word, creating innovations can be relatively easier. There are three main areas that the information technologies help us develop our businesses and working environments: developing database management applications, developing business specific software, and developing user-friendly interfaces for easy adaptation of all the stakeholders to the information technologies. Proper use of information technologies can increase our efficiency at workplaces.
Information technologies might create a huge amount of the contributions to the businesses. The most essential point in applying information technology applications to the business is to develop tailor-made applications for the businesses that match the needs of the people at the workplace. I have had experience of working at different levels of varying companies. Besides completing the tasks assigned me, I had the chance to observe the working environment. Information technology might create better opportunities for businesses; however, if the workers can adapt themselves with the technology. Thus, the attitude of the workers against the information technology determines the success of the use of information technology at workplace. My observations at the different workplaces have shown me how to develop a strategy to create a better environment for using information technologies at workplaces.
Being an IT manager is a fun and challenging job for me. It truly excites me. I like making analysis on businesses and I am a social person. I always try to develop my ability to understand people and communicating with them. I also love working with the computers. The computers allow me to develop new things based on my ideas beyond my imagination. A computer helps me visualize my ideas easily. Gathering all these facts indicates me that I have the opportunity to be an IT manager.
Eventually, I would like to use two aspects of my characteristics: understanding workers and developing solutions for businesses by using information technology applications. I would like to be able to develop my analyzing skills at different workplaces. The success of the businesses depends on the efforts spent by the workers. Thus, their personal approaches to the works determine the failure or the success. Also, a business is an organization. In order to analyze a business, one should observe the organization at the workplace. Individuals with different characteristics might develop some patterns of behavior in the organization among the other workers. I have had experience to observe the individuals, the organizations and the individual’s attitudes against the information technology. Consequently, I would like to use the experience I have gained in my previous works for developing better information technology applications.
I have an essential work experience that I could observe the work environment at varying workplaces and I could enjoy applying information technologies. In the future, I want to be an IT professional who can understand and analyze working environments, workers, organizations and develop tailor-made information technology solutions. I believe that your program will help me develop my knowledge in information technologies as well as create innovative ideas.
