Future of Policing
In this paperwork, I am going to give my reaction concerning the future of policing, depicting whether the future of policing is promising or not.
It is depicted that the future of policing will incorporate the following transformations; educated law enforcements officers, up to date technology, race and sex equality, the recruits must have dazzling skills, and advanced practical development skills such as community policing (The future of policing in Canada, 2006).
literature review has it that the police forces will have to operate much in the coming future as they do today, but the progress in both the operating concepts and the technology are pouring important changes in the day-to-day law enforcement acts. It is a fact that the police, across the world, have frequently looked to methods of enhancing technology so as to enhance their effectiveness- overlooking other vital reforms. It is depicted that the use of fingerprinting and crime laboratories in the 1900s played a vital role in- in solving crimes. The productivity of the law enforcement officers was later boosted by the beginning of the two-way radio and the prevalent exploitation of the automobile in the 1930s. It is, now, clear that the technology has been playing a vital role in reducing crime, but for better result in future, all the reforms, depicted in his paperwork, must be observed. In the coming future, it is depicted that there will be the use of new projecting policing technologies; for example, the use of PredPol Software, Compstat, and so on. PredPol Software is a new technology that has proven as being effective in the fight against crime (Grieve, 2007).
Countries, across the world, have started improving their technologies so as to achieve the best in the coming future, for example, improving their DNA laboratories with the objective of getting more accurate results, within the shortest time possible, in the coming future. According to my stand, the future of policing is promising, since countries across the world have recognized the significant role that technology plays in combating crime. It is also important to note that the law enforcements are attending education workshops and seminars, hence becoming more knowledgeable about what the society expects of them. The subject of race and gender equality has been observed in most of the nations across the world. It is important to note that community policing has also played a significant role in preventing crime in the U.S- expect nothing, but the best in the coming future (Grieve, 2007).
