1. (a) A sue for libel when studying about drugs would be unfair and I would deny to that.. I would not agree because the place pointed by the police is just a suspected place even though the police are aware of the activities in that place. A drug story is a very sensitive study which every suspected spot should be well studied thus any suggestions about drug use should never be ignored making my story very genuine and not any form of libel.
(b) The man charged is guilty and could have killed the teenagers voluntarily. I should have not been sued for libel because police records are mostly evident and the two convictions of careless and reckless driving are an indication that the accident was linked to his carelessness.
(c) Calling an opponent a tax evader is libel because the opposition creates a rebellious atmosphere which is well understood. Joining the state senator in talking about the opponent is very wrong and those who do that are guilty of libel. Also, a vie for power encourages people to talk bad about their opponents for them to win elections.
(d) Family issues are domestic and professional ones should remain. Talking about a person’s divorce, marriage or being single is wrong when it comes to their public lives. It is normal to be sued for libel on linking a person’s family and relationship life with the public issues. Private lives should not involve the public and political issues whatsoever.
(e) Running off at the mouth is relative. When a worker speaks ill about a chancellor it may be emotional or true but the chancellor cannot be judged because a worker spoke badly. Taking sides with the worker and assuming the chancellor is that bad then it is okay being sued for libel.
2. Plagiarism entails the use of an author’s ideas; language and expressions and representing them as one’s original work. It does not exist in any legal state even though is considered stealing thus not mentioned in any civil or criminal statute. In academics, plagiarism by researchers, students or professors is reoffered to as academic fraud that is subject to censure including expulsion. A reporter who plagiarizes is often suspended from the task of reporting because a failure to be honest brings about public mistrust. In organizations, plagiarism is not an issue since they mostly never assign any form of credit to the originality. In other contexts, online tools have been availed to identify plagiarism and help limit the copying usually done online. Plagiarism as viewed by many is wrong and should be fully abolished as it increases unethical issues in academic and work places.
