The Indian and Pakistani governments, rejecting world opinion to the contrary, continued the testing of nuclear weapons
Nuclear weapons are a big threat to international security. Often the weapons have been used as instruments of mass destruction, by countries bent on violation of the liberal international relations. India and Pakistan have continued to test nuclear weapons in disregard to the world opinion going, further, even enriching their nuclear heads. Neither India nor Pakistan, however, has been involved in nuclear war with any state in history. This is irrespective of the global phobia, over the prospects of abuse of these weapons by outside forces, particularly in global terrorist activities looking real. This leads us to the following hypotheses: H1: Nuclear weapons of mass destruction are not the choice weapons in global terrorist activities. H2: India and Pakistan do not use nuclear weapons for terrorism. H3: India and Pakistan are readying to launch nuclear attacks on their enemies. H4: India and Pakistan do not appreciate the implications of keeping and testing nuclear weapons. H5: The jittery world is led into supervised attitude by few nations against nuclear weapon holders.
Rejecting arguments made by numerous NGO’s and citizens for human rights, the U.S. signed a major trade agreement with China
Free trade dealings between America and China sparked huge protests from the NGOs in US, protesting the potential ramifications of the agreement in terms of job losses to the American people. The protests emanated from the fear of loss in export business from America and a possible influx of cheap imports from China. However, USA went ahead and signed the agreement. H1: The voice of the NGOs is not, after all, the voice of the American people. H2: Protesting NGOs have no veto on the Federal Government Decisions. H3: Protests against government decisions need right lobbying and advocacy platforms. H4: Free trade business between China and America increases the American consumption by lowering import costs. H5: Free trade business is the global order.
Although Spanish and Italian domestic polls showed overwhelming opposition to U.S’s unilateral plans to invade Iraq, the governments of Spain and Italy strongly supported the Bush Administration
Many argued, wrongly or rightly, that the invasion of Iraq by Bush administration caused instability on the whole of Middle East. It was widely feared that the invasion of Iraq would occasion great fatalities for the Iraqi citizens and the Iraqi and American soldiers. In spite of civilian opposition, in Spain and Italy, to the reasons advanced by US for the unilateral attack on Iraq, the governments of Spain and Italy still supported the Bush administration, leading us to the following hypotheses. H1: The voice of the people of Spain and Italy is not the voice of the governments of Spain and Italy. H2: Europe’s’ governments of Spain and Italy side with the American Governments. H3: Spain and Italy compete for space to align with America and attack Iraq. H4: Iraq is not only a threat to America, but also to others. H5: Better few deaths of civilians and soldiers than a risk on a whole group of nations.
