Ultrabooks vs. Tablet PCs
Ultrabooks are thin, slim, have screen sizes between 11 and 13 inches, but have full size keyboards that are comfortable. They have SSDs and have good battery life and have PC OS such as Windows or Mac OS. A tablet computer, on the other hand is of a tablet’s size, mostly touch-based and may lack a keyboard and runs either Android, iOS or Windows mobile OS.
Similarities: They are both slim and light and are portable and the Ports and connectivity options are also similar.
Differences: The physical keyboard is generally absent in the tablets (though some have attachable keyboards) so the main mode of user interaction is touch, making the interaction tougher for regular applications. They have technical specs that are inferior to Ultrabooks. The Ultrabooks feature better screen resolutions (but there are some tablets which have very high resolution screens). However, when considering the aspect of portability, tablets win the race. Ultrabooks are lighter and have better battery life.

Green Computers
Three features for a computer to be denoted Green are given below.
Low use of hazardous material: Hazardous material such as cadmium, hexavalent chromium, SCCP flame retardants and plasticizers, lead free batteries, and plastic parts free of PVC are some of the examples of low use of hazardous material.
End-of-life recovery: The green computers have their parts clearly marked so that they can be easily reused, disassembled or recycled and hazardous material is easily disposed of. So they have parts that need special handling marked, paints and other coatings that make recycling difficult are eliminated, number of plastic materials are reduced. Moldings and glue are removable. The standards expect a minimum 65% of the components to be reusable, but most manufacturers have 90% of the material as reusable.
Longer product life: Most of the green computers have to provide three years’ minimum warranty or guarantee, the design modularized so that they can be easily upgraded, and the manufactures have to ensure the parts are available for replacements.

Technology innovations in your field
Intel is on the path to manufacturing 10nm chips in 2016 and 7 nm chips in 2018 which will help reduce the chip size as well as reduce the power consumption. This will help the Laptop/Tablet configuration as well as the mobile devices scenario. Currently the mobile device manufactures are throttling their chips so that they can control the heat buildup. With the advent of the 7nm chips, this may no longer be necessary and more innovation can happen in this area. More applications, such as 3D mapping, artificial intelligence, more graphics intensive gaming as well as editing applications are possible, which could change the way the world uses mobile devices.
