Good Example Of Critical Thinking On Reflects On The Experience Of Participating In The Collaborative Journaling

It was a memorable moment, when you work with your colleagues on some project. We have started working on two topics with enthusiasm and try to come on the consensus on a point we want to make. Every time it is not possible that you work with consensus but sometimes you have conflicts arises on some point about going with the things. It was an awesome experience for me to work on the collaborative journaling with my group. Participating in a group involved in a very cumbersome activity of a collaborative journaling where we required to read a lot on some points, and then discuss on some points to come on to the conclusion, to go ahead for the next step to complete the assignment. We had to learn about the subject of hegemony and counter hegemony and meaning and mediation. While working in a group, it helped us to work on these subjects and to analyse the subjects with 360 degree angles. The importance of doing work in a group helped to analyse each and every point about the subject matter.
When there is a group working in the same direction with combined efforts creates synergy towards achievement of the goal. Sometimes conflicts may come which is good for the discussion and brain storming to get the positive results and solutions to the problem. While reading about the hegemony and counter hegemony about the parents having disabled children provides us a different angle to see the purpose of life. We understood about the concept of hegemony that is the state of behaviour of a social group dominates the others. A process of countering this dominance of one social group starts is known as the counter hegemony. Hegemony in a social setting arises when a particular social group feels dependency on others or a feeling of complexity comes in the mind. Counter hegemony is the process or means by which one can counter this situation and can achieve resistance to this mindset and be self-dependent. In the same way while working in a group we always divide our work to become responsible for our own area. As a group, we were able to achieve our target by working both jointly and independently as per our work division. We have divided our work as per our expertise and interest in the subject matter to avoid any conflict of interest and also to avoid the dependency. It also helped us to generate counter hegemony in the group.
Work of a collaborative journaling comprises of two topics that have worked upon. On the second topic that was related with the meaning and mediation was related to the reflection work on the article of Graebner et al which was related with the learning for the students. It helped us to learn about the art of reflection in writing. As a passionate writer, I contributed my best in the work of a collaborative journaling. Mediation required in case of those students who are seeking their empowerment through education and learning. It provides greater flexibility to the students to track their learning experiences. Working in the group; we also felt the same where we can gain more and more things by discussing the things and also individual learning experiences. The experience on working in a group for a collaborative journaling was an awesome experience.
