Entertainment is having an enjoyment about something. In 1 Timothy 6: 17, the scripture says that God provides people with everything for their enjoyment. In other words, God has given people responsibility to enjoy themselves as much as they can. According to Idelman (2013), entertainment is doing what one is most passionate about. Just like the way God wants us to enjoy, I also have my form of entertainment as I feel so passionate doing what I love the most, and what brings happiness in my life. Therefore, I see my entertainment in church anytime I am singing.
Just like what Idelman (2013) stated, entertainment is doing what one is most passionate about, and therefore, I am so passionate when I am singing. This is because, during praises and worship, I feel connected spiritually and physically with the heavens, and I see talking directly with God the Creator. Besides, when I am singing I get new strength and I forget all the problems I might have been going through, and focus on the hope the Lord has promised us through the scriptures. Therefore, because I am so passionate when I sing, my heart is filled with unconditional love for God, as well as endless happiness, and thus, singing is my entertainment.
I see my entertainment in church while singing than any other place. This is because, the church is the sanctuary of God and therefore, when singing in it, God is in the midst. In addition, I sing while playing instruments to worship and exalt God for what he has done. The scripture says that where two or more people gather, the Lord is in the midst (Mathew 18: 20), and thus, when I am in church, I believe I am directly talking with God and I love it, and this makes it my place of entertainment.
