Initially, I have embarked in the career education and it is my belief that the academic journey will help me in my contribution to nursing. On the same note, the society today is full of vulnerable individuals who cannot access health care, and it is the responsibility of other people to help them. Technology is one of the major aspects that has enhanced nursing and other medical practices. As a future nurse, I am in a position to contribute immensely to nursing.
In the society, it is always complex to have hospitals without nurses. Nurses undertake various roles in the hospitals that should be credited. The basis of my contribution to nursing begins from undertaking various course in the field of nursing. These will enhance my knowledge and skills in nursing. One of the major contributions to nursing is by educating students in nursing. Through educating other students, the number of nurses in the hospital will tremendously increase.
In addition, I will focus on being part of clinical senates and give advice on how patients can receive the best care regardless of the financial constraints. These entail the formation of policies that govern nursing and health care delivery. Educating the families on various ways of preventing diseases will be my contribution to nursing. It is worth noting that there are various diseases that can be prevented in society; hence, I will ensure that people in society focus on preventive measures, which include drinking of clean water, cleaning environment, as well as reducing pollution. Patient care is also very critical to nursing; therefore, my contribution will be to educate on patients care both within the hospitals and at home. Based on my compassion I will provide care to patients from the diverse background without focusing on their race, tribe, financial status, social status, cultural background, as well as geographical location.
Based on the diverse nature of society, I will help patients in understanding the diverse nature of health care. The presence of various lifestyle diseases such as obesity, heart conditions, and diabetes means that healthcare system is dealing with complex medical issues. As an individual, I will educate people on health eating in order to reduce the lifestyle diseases. These are achieved through promotions of nutrition and hygiene in society. Lack of finance should not compromise the patient care. On the same note, I will ensure that there is communication in the health care facilities. Reinforcement of communication will facilitate the urgency in handling various emergency services. I believe that my education and services in health care will enhance my contribution to nursing.
