It is common to find some projects do not get to see the light of the day or not implemented fullysimply because they lacked support and resources they required. On the other hand, there are numerous research findings which have the potential to provide evident solutions to the current health problems and improve the quality of health services but, most of these studies findings remain unknown and become outdated with time. This is the reason as to why the findings of a study have to be dispersed as quickly and broadly as possible so that the involved interest groups can get this information, assimilate it into their normal routine and in the process help health practitioners make informed decisions which are imperative to enhance the status of the health care and address the challenges they are facing on a daily basis (Abbott, Mc Sherry & Simmons, 2013). Moreover, timely dispatch of this data will give the stakeholders enough time to read, understand and critique the reports as to whether the proposed intervention offer a viable solution and can be utilized to meet the needs of patients. As such, availing project or research findings to the stakeholders in good time is essential to ensure their interest and support is captured early enough when the findings are relevant (Abbott, Mc Sherry & Simmons, 2013). Thus, dissemination is a very critical stage which ensures the success, and the goal of research/project is achieved efficiently.
The first strategy which is to hold a conference/seminar within the hospital vicinity is geared towards reaching the key stakeholders so as they can have first-hand information in regards to proposed solution of addressing cancer pain. The key stakeholders include the nurse manager, three massage therapists, cancer patients, 1 Oncology CNS, an accountant and one dietitian. This conference will give stakeholders enough time to get familiar with the project and ask questions where they may not understand. Also, the stakeholders will be informed about how the project will be implemented and its importance in addressing the challenges and frustration they are facing as they give pain management care to cancer patients (Bell, 2014). This will boost the knowledge and evidence the practitioners of the hospital have concerning the cancer pain.
The second strategy is to publish articles detailing all the areas of the project starting from the problem statement to the evaluation plan. These articles will be published in the nursing journals, magazines and books so as to allow secondary stakeholders such as cancer patients from in other hospitals, government officials, politicians, medical equipment suppliers, nursing associations, nursing schools and the general public to have access to this information (McNiff, 2016). The aim of this strategy is to increase the evidence available for nurses concerning the massage intervention in addressing post cancer treatment patients. This will boost the knowledge nurses have concerning this nurse practice, increase their trust on massage therapy.
The third strategy is the use of hospital website. Notably, the current the health sector is going digital. Thus, uploading the research on the hospital’s websites will make easier for all the stakeholders to access the information conveniently. This platform has broad coverage compared to the two strategies named above. As such, this strategy will attract global interest and support which will be essential in helping the project achieve its objective and goals. Moreover, in fields like mathematics, astronomy and physics, the use of arVix in the disemmination process is vital as it makes the papers available to the users without them paying first for them to access the materials (Ketcheson, 2012). This process is essential mainly in evaluating the papers and adding any important information which may be required. Finally, there is the need for quality to be given the required attention during the research process. Researchers are tasked with developing new ideas and enter into agreements as effective strategies for ensuring that the results from their studies are publ;ished (Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt, 2016).
