High-speed mobile network communication is a new technology that can play a great role in my profession as a member of Army. It can bring the ability for Army soldiers to enhance efficiency in their communications. Through the new technology, the army can make use of the new smartphone technology. The Army can use smartphones which offer high-speed network communications to foster efficiency in their communications. The new technology would also help the army in doing away with the use of radio call communications that cannot cut edge anywhere (Janitor, 2011).
Also, the use of high-speed smartphone technologies may help the army to exchange vital information such as photos, videos and clips that can help them to keep track on their enemies without notice. Such a technology may be of a great benefit to the army in several ways. For instance, it helps the Army soldiers to share the correct information among them very fast. This is because the network allows one user to send the same information to several other users at once (Abba, n.d).
However, this new technology is subject to cyber-crime which is a threat to the security of the Army soldiers. According to Abbas (n.d), terrorists can make hack the mobile networks hence able to interfering with the army data. Ultimately, such a scenario may be a disadvantage to the progress of the army in fighting terrorism. In fact, it may give the terrorist a great advantage to make use of the army data to destroy their plans. Also, in case, wrong information is shared the effects can be worse since smartphone technologies work very faster and wrong application can take place instantly causing trouble among the army members.
